Semester 2 2024 - 2025
In Semester 2, learners addressed the brief for a sustainable Social Bite Village house-type for the homeless to be placed at Glasgow Green.
The architectural design process of; precedent and site analysis research, concept and development sketching, hand-drawn and cad orthographic 2d drawing production, 3d modelling visualisation creation and construction detailing was followed.
Hand-made model making techniques were used as a way to develop design ideas and each learner produced a final scale model of their housing prototype.
The learners also researched significant international movements and key architects in architectural history and visited the V&A in Dundee to experience exemplar contemporary architecture.
