The HNC Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology learners were introduced to the architectural design process; precedent research, site analysis, concept sketching, model making, 2d orthographic drawing, and 3d visualisation.
The learners applied this design process to the brief for a Social Bite Village prototype tiny-house. The Social Bite Village projects in Scotland provide temporary accommodation for the homeless. The site for this project was in Glasgow Green.
Student project proposals were selected for inclusion in the New Glasgow Society Imagine Glasgow COP 26 exhibition in 2021, and a collaborative student proposal was submitted to the Davidson Prize architectural competition ‘Somewhere to Call Home’ in 2023.
