Selon la vision du monde des Innus, chaque geste porté sur le territoire a un impact sur l’eau et l’air, sur les animaux et sur les humains. Ainsi, les Innus sont intimement liés au Nitassinan, le territoire ancestral. Le projet propose de mettre en relation architecture et nature afin de créer des espaces de partage et d’intimité avec l’environnement. Les pavillons près du lac deviennent un lieu de rassemblement, et les salles communes offrent une grande flexibilité afin de stimuler la collaboration et l’apprentissage.
The dialogue between architecture and territory could promote the transmission of Innu culture.
According to the Innu world view, every action taken on the territory has an impact on water, air, animals and humans. Thus, the Innu are intimately linked to Nitassinan, the ancestral territory.
The project proposes to connect architecture and nature in order to create spaces for sharing and intimacy with the environment. Pavilions near the lake form a gathering place, and common rooms offer great flexibility to stimulate collaboration and learning.
