TRANSIT DRIVER, CASUAL, POSTING 14-16
The primary responsibility of the Hinton Kids For Success Out of School program Child Care Coordinator shall be to provide direction and team leadership for the program, ensuring the safety and well being of the children in the program, and that all Licensing standards are maintained by the program. The performance is monitored by the FCSS Manager intermittently throughout the year and formally at least once per year. This is a Contract Position under the supervision of the FCSS Manager. Hours of Work: 25 hours per week. Some evenings or weekends may be occasionally required. Terms:

Wage: $24.00/hour REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Certified Child Care Supervisor or equivalency • Valid Child First Aid Certificate • A minimum of one year experience in child development work • Safe Food Handling Certification • A valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to own vehicle for work • Must provide an RCMP Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Verification • Must provide Child Welfare clearance • Must provide an acceptable Driver’s Abstract The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is hired.
Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor and the direction from the Transit Lead hand, the Transit Driver provides a professional, reliable, safe, and a high level of customer service to the citizens of Hinton. This is a CASUAL position with no guarantee of hours. The successful candidate must be available for evenings and weekends and other shifts as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • The position MUST have a minimum educational achievement of Grade 12 or GED. • Candidates will be required to obtain a RCMP records check, as well as a Child Welfare check. Both must be acceptable to the Employer. • Candidates must submit a current Drivers Abstract.
