SCHOLARSHIPS Dr. K.C.G. Verghese Memorial Foundation Scholarship
In fond memory of Late Dr. K. C. G. Verghese, Founder & Chairman, HGI and for the yeomen services he had rendered to the society, a Public Charitable Foundation has been established in his name. This Foundation proposes to offer assistance to meritorious and deserving students towards their education and medical relief for the poor. Merit Scholarship
Merit Scholarships are awarded to toppers of HITSEEE during admissions by the Management. For details, Dean-Students Affairs may be contacted.
Merit cum Means Scholarship
HITS offers scholarships over Rs. 1 crore under merit cum means categories every year. Special financial assistance is given to differently abled and economically weaker sections of the society to enable them to pursue their education.
Hindustan Teaching Research Fellowship (HTRF)
Hindustan Teaching Research Fellowships (HTRF) are available for Full Time Research Scholars registered for Ph.D., M.Phil. and M.Tech. by Research. GATE/ NET qualified Candidates are provided a fellowship of Rs. 25,000/ per month. Other candidates having 8.0 CGPA or 75 % both in UG & PG receive a fellowship ranging between Rs. 15,000/ and Rs. 18,000/ per month.
Sports Scholarship
HITS is renowned for its academic and sports excellence at both national and global levels. The institution gives prime importance to the enrollment of students under the Sports Quota who excel in sports over the years. More than 300 students had obtained their admission through Sports Scholarship.
Criteria for Selection Students who have performed and achieved acwards at the National, Inter-University and State levels in all disciplines can apply in the month of April every year along with his/her Merit Certificates.
AWARDS Rank Holders
Cash Awards are given to meritorious students from each branch of B.Tech. and M.Tech. First rank holders of each branch will be given Rs. 25,000/- and a medal; and the Second rank holders will be given Rs. 15,000/- and a medal (conditions apply).
Founder’s Award for Best Research Scholar
Founder’s Best Research Scholar Award carries a cash prize and certificate. The awardees are eligible to be considered for financial assistance from HITS to attend International/National Conferences.
The Chancellor’s Award is being instituted to encourage and motivate Women Research Scholars who excels in research.
