Newsletter Combat Sports On Fridays Highfields year 7 and 8 girls PE groups have been receiving coaching from Andy Parton of British Judo, who has been teaching the girls to use throws.
Boccia Championship Today, Friday 13 March, the key stage 2 SEN Boccia championship took place at Starkholmes site – more news in next week’s newsletter.
Fixture results U13 Girls’ Football Team through to semi-final of County Cup Mr Shirtcliffe
On Thursday 12 March our under 13 girls’ football team travelled to Buxton Community School to compete in the County Cup quarter final. The team played some excellent football, they controlled the game well with the goalkeeper having little to do. We were 2 nil up at half time which helped our confidence, then the girls stepped up another gear and went on to score 5 more goals, some wind assisted I might add. In the end we won the game convincingly progressing through to the quarter final of the County Cup. An excellent display by all, fingers crossed for the next round.
Netball Fixtures
Year 7 & 8 are away at Littleover on Tuesday 17 March, returning back to Starkholmes at 5:30pm Y8 County netball has been rearranged for Monday 23 March.
