Fuel filter replacement Every 400 operating hours.
31 Fuel filter removal The fuel filter is to be replaced as a unit.
32 Fuel filter installation • R emove the fuel filter, use a filter wrench. Catch any fuel.
• Lubricate the rubber gasket sparingly with clean engine oil.
• Close the fuel stopcock. • L oosen the connector on the drain plug at the lower side of the filter housing. Press the retainer spring to loosen the connector.

• Clean any debris from the filter carrier rim.
Danger Keep naked flames away when working on the fuel system. Do not smoke!
• Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel. For fuel filter art. code see page 120.
