6 Maintenance
Gearbox oil level check Every 100 operating hours.
Vetus engines are normally equipped with Technodrive or ZF-Hurth gearboxes. Consult the supplied Owners Manual for more details about care and maintenance. In case your engine is gearbox follow the instructions given in the supplied owners manual for changing oil and other care and maintenance.

The oil level must between the two marks on the dipstick
• Unscrew the dipstick out of the gearbox housing.
If necessary top up.
• Check the oil level by cleaning the dipstick and lowering it into the hole, without screwing it in. The oil level must between the end and the mark on the dipstick.
The filler cap is on top of the gearbox housing.
• If necessary top up by pouring oil in the dipstick hole. For oil type and specification see page 108. 49
