Tigercat CHECK FOR WATER IN FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR
Replacement of fuel filter
IMPORTANT ! Filters that are an integral part of the engine (fuel and lubricating oil) should be serviced and replaced according to the MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE in this manual.
The high risk of refuelling with fuel that is polluted by foreign bodies and water makes it advisable to carry out this operation every time you refuel. Only proceed with the engine stopped.
WARNING
FOR PROCEDURE ON CHECKING AND CHANGING THE FUEL FILTER/WATER SEPARATOR, PLEASE REFER TO YOUR MACHINE’S OPERATOR’S MANUAL.
During this operation don’t smoke or use open flames. Avoid inhaling the vapors coming from the filter.
Note: The components of the common rail system can be damaged very quickly in presence of water or impurity within the fuel.
To avoid injury and the risk of burning, shut off the engine and allow it to cool down before proceeding.
WARNING Drain fuel filter into a container and dispose of all fluids properly.
