Connectinghydrauliclinestothemachine

IMPORTANT!

The hydraulic system is pressurised even when the engine is not running. When the hydraulic system is pressurized, the hydraulic quick-couplers cannot be connected. Because of this, before connecting the hydraulic quick-couplers:

•Release the pressure in the sections of the system and hydraulic lines that will be opened before starting setup or repair work, e.g., fitting/removing an attachment.

☞ Shut off the engine.

☞ Engage the parking brake.

☞ Release the pressure in the hydraulic lines.

➥ –see Depressurizing the quick-couplers on the loader unit on page82.

☞ Remove hydraulic lines A and B from the quickhitch.

☞ Connect hydraulic lines A and B to the hydraulic connections C and D on the attachment.

Note

Make sure the quick-couplers are properly connected – never connect the hydraulic lines crosswise, otherwise the attachment functions will be reversed.

☞ Functional check:

• Make sure the hydraulic lines are not pinched throughout the entire range of motion of the attachment.

DANGER!

The attachment must be placed on the ground so that it will not fall over when removed -

Accident risk.

☞ Position the attachment on the ground so it will stand safely and not tip over when unlocked from the quickhitch.

IMPORTANT!

If the attachment is placed in direct sunlight after it is removed, the oil in the hydraulic cylinders will warm up. This leads to a pressure increase in the hydraulic cylinders, which can make it difficult to attach the hydraulic lines to the hydraulic connections. To avoid this problem, remove the attachment as follows:

☞ Tilt the multi-purpose bucket back as far as it will go.

☞ Close the multi-purpose bucket to a gap of about 8” (20 cm).

☞ Unlock the multi-purpose bucket.

➥ –see Hydraulic connections on the multi-purpose bucket: overview on page93.

☞ Shut off the engine.

☞ Engage the parking brake.

☞ Release the pressure in the hydraulic lines.

➥ –see Depressurizing the quick-couplers on the loader unit on page82.

➥ The multipurpose bucket closes when the pressure is released.

☞ Disconnect hydraulic lines A and B from quick-couplers E and F on the multi-purpose bucket.

☞ Connect hydraulic lines A and B onto quick couplers C and D on the quickhitch.

Note

Make sure the quick-couplers are properly connected – never connect the hydraulic lines crosswise, otherwise the quickhitch cylinder functions will be reversed.

Aftermakingthehydraulicconnectionsasdescribedearlier:

☞ Slightly tilt the multi-purpose bucket to a horizontal position.

☞ Set the multipurpose bucket onto the ground.

➥ –see Removing an attachment from the quickhitch on page85.
