Engine Cooling System Vent Line Removal

The engine cooling system vent lines connect the turbocharger, exhaust manifold and the heat exchanger. Remove these lines as an assembly to avoid confusion with other systems such as the coolant conditioner.

1.Remove the four capscrews securing the vent hose clamps to the cylinder head covers. 67

Repair Instructions

Blow-By Recirculation Unit (AIRSEP®) Removal

1.Remove the capscrew and nut securing the blow-by recirculation unit to the lower bracket. Then remove the clamp securing the oil drain back hose to the lower portion of the blow-back recirculation unit. 70

3.Loosen the blow-by recirculation unit oil drain back hose clamp at the sump tube and remove the hose. 72

2.Remove the blow-by recirculation unit hose clamp at the turbocharger inlet and remove the blow-by recirculation unit as an assembly. 71
