• Always prepare the dump truck before starting any maintenance, adjustments or other work on the dump truck, see Service Position in the Safety Instructions chapter (Chapter 2). • Fuel and oil are dangerous substances. Never handle fuel, oil, grease or oily clothes in places where there is any fi re or fl ame. As preparation in case of fi re, always know the location and the use of fi re ex tinguishers and other fi re fi ghting equipment.
• Wear a well-fi tting helmet, safety shoes and working clothes. When drilling, grinding or hammering always wear protective goggles. • Flames should never be used instead of lamps. Never use a naked fl ame to check leaks or level of oil, fuel, anti-freeze or electro lyte.
• Park the dump truck on fi rm, fl at ground. Apply the Ar ticulation Lock.
• When working with others; Choose a group leader, follow the leader's instructions. Do not perform any maintenance beyond the agreed work.
• Always stop the engine when performing maintenance near moving parts.
• During maintenance; Do not allow any unauthorised person to stand near the dump truck. • Exhaust gas is dangerous. When working inside, be particularly careful to have good ventilation.
• Thoroughly wash the engine. In particular, be careful to clean the filler caps, grease fi ttings and the area around the dipsticks.
Be careful not to let any dirt or dust into the system.
• Wash the dump truck, be careful not to wet electrical components or inside cab.
• Always use Moxy genuine parts for replacement.
• Unless you have special instructions to the contrary, maintenance should always be carried out with engine stopped. If maintenance i s c ar ri e d o u t w i t h t h e e n g i n e running, there must be two persons present: One operating the engine, and the other one performing the maintenance. In such a case, never touch any moving parts. • Always use the grades of grease and oil recommended by the manufacturer. Choose the viscosity specifi ed for the ambient temperature. See chapter 6.

• When checking or changing the oil, do it in a place free of dust, and prevent any dirt from getting into the oil.
• Before draining the oil, warm it up to a temperature of 30o to 40o C. Be aware of possible internal pressure when opening any drain, level or fi lling plug. Hot oil can spurt out and infl ict personal injury.
• Be particularly careful when removing the expansion tank cap. If this is done immediately a f t e r u s i n g t h e e n g i n e , there is a d a n ger that boiling water and steam
the mounting surface and replace with new sealing parts.
• When lubricating oil or cooling oil level, check that the oil is at the correct level.
• After greasing up, always wipe off
the old grease which was forced out.
• When changing the oil or fi lter, check the drained oil and fi lter for any signs of excessive metal particles or other foreign materials.
• W h e n r e m o v ing parts containing O-rings,gaskets or seals, clean
may spurt out.
• A f t e r r e p l a c ing oil, fi lter element
or strainer, bleed the air from the circuit.
• When the strainer is located in the oil fi ller, the strainer must not be
