Check the operation of the INDICATOR LIGHTS in the instrument panel. Turn key switch all the way to the right ("TEST" position). The lights should al 1 illuminate with the key switch in the "TEST" position. Drive Motor *ABrush Wear Indicator B - Control Temperature Pump Motor *cBrush Wear Indicator D - Control Temperature * Brush wear indicator lights are optional equipment.

Check HORN operation. The horn should operate at all times that a properly charged battery is connected at the truck receptacle. If horn does not operate, or if a rubbing noise or squeaking is heard when turning steering handwheel, adjustment of the clearance between handwheel hub and shift quadrant may be required. Refer to GROUP 06, Section 2 for horn and steering wheel adjustment. Check PUMP MOTOR SPEED operation: With key switch still on, move the tilt lever in either "FORWARD" tilt or "BACK" tilt position. Pump motor will sound slightly different in "FORWARD" tilt than in "BACK" tilt.
