The measurement of the ram position is done by a “reed rod” which provides a position measurement over the entire cylinder stroke length. The reed rod is incorporated within the advance cylinder. A magnet is built into the hollowed piston and surrounds the reed rod, moving along the length of the reed rod as the cylinder is extended and retracted. Measuring accuracy is 4mm. Electrical Data: output signal = 0.5 - 4.5v dc supply voltage = 8 – 18v dc The small 4-pin connector on the reedrod connects to an adapter that converts it to an SKK24 female connection. The connection to the PMC-R is then made with a standard SKK24 hose cable. The adapter is staple locked into the ram cylinder.
