An appropriately designed controller and speed monitoring system must be used to ensure that the maximum speed is not exceeded (refer to chapter Error! Reference source not found.).
Connecting the motor and sensor cables For information about installing and connecting the motor and sensor cables in the vehicle as well as a description and the use of the tools required for this purpose, refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s separate instructions. The following information must additionally be heeded: •
The connection leads must not be damaged.

The bending radius must be a minimum of 10 x d for free laying or 5 x d for fixed laying.
•
The silicone cable covering must on no account be damaged when the motor cables are stripped or else it will tear. The protective fabric and the shielding are only allowed to be cut using shears or a special tool.
•
Make sure the shielding is properly contacted over the full 360° when the cable gland is connected.
•
Take suitable steps (e.g. seal with a cloth) to prevent parts from falling into the motor when the terminal box is open. If parts are dropped inside the motor, it must on no account be operated until they have been removed again. We recommend that you ask your local Siemens Service Center for assistance.
CAUTION The main terminal connection must comply with the applicable standards and guidelines!
Danger Incorrect connection of the motor can result in fatal injuries! The information contained in the accessories pack drawing no. A5E03039147A must be heeded at all times.
