ERECTION OF MACHINE It i. recommended that the followin« procedure be uaed in erectinl the machine. 1.
Aaaemble sections of lower frame or tub. a.
Build a crib, preferably of railroad ties, approximately 30" high to allow for riveting and bolting underneath tub.
b.
Place center section on crib.
c.
Place outer aectiona and pull sections tosether, alip and bolt. Tub should be leveled and circle rail bearing au.rface checked fer levelness with transit.
d.
Rivet tub complete.
e.
Bolt on wearing plates and cleata.
f.
Remove cribbing and lower the tub to ground. (U erecting the machine in the winter, it may Be adviaable to lower the tub to a mat of timber, clear of the cleata, under tJae edge of the tub, to prevent freezing the tub to the ground).

Inatall gear segment. being aure to follow matcla markings.

Inatalilower circle rail and bolt to tub uaiag wed«e washers under nut.
4.
Inatall center journal.
5.
Aasemble roller circle, making certain ia to the inside of the circle.
6.
Install upper circle rails on the roller circle in auch a position that boom end of upper frame will be pointed toward derrick.
7.
Burn off lifting luga and grind sm.oth.
8.
Aasemble aectiona of rotating frame.

In assembling the upper frame the electrician ahould install the conduit, wiring and electrical equipment aimultaaeoualy with erectors to avoid being blocked out.
b.
Place center aection of upper frame. Be aure center journal is well greased and shear blocka wehied in place aefore placing center aection over it.
c.
Block up front of center aection on the lear aegments to make eaaier installation of front girder.
d.
