Only the automatic fire-extinguishing system (optional equipment) remains connected to the power supply even when the switch is in the OFF position. The two switch positions shown in Fig. 2-35: have the following meaning: I = ON II = OFF In the OFF position, the battery main switch handle can be withdrawn.

Never set battery main switch to OFF when the engine is running to avoid destruction of electrical components by voltage peaks.
