OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS RH 340 OPeration Automatic fire-extinguishing system (optional)
The automatic fire-extinguishing system (Fig. 2-32: - Fig. 2-34:) prevents fire from spreading.
It is, however, assumed that the machine is thoroughly cleaned of combustible and easily flammable substances. Fig. 2-34:
The extinguishing unit (2, Fig. 2-34:) is attached in front of the pump gearbox. The excavator operator and the maintenance personnel must familiarize themselves with the automatic fire-extinguishing system. Such instruction should be given by a qualified instructor. The fire-extinguishing system is activated automatically in an emergency. Fig. 2-32:
The extinguishing unit (2, Fig. 2-32:) is attached near the access ladder to the superstructure.
Refill extinguishers immediately after use ready for further deployment. In an emergency the fire-extinguishing system is actuated automatically.
