Switching on the electric motor

Insert key in key-switch (32, Fig. 2-78:) and turn clockwise.

The control voltage is switched on.

See. indicators on the BCSmonitor (2, Fig. 2-79:).

Actuate START key (51, Fig. 2-78:) briefly.

The switch-on phase is controlled by a time-lag relay. If the electric motor fails to start up, repeat the switch-on procedure.

Keys (51 and 52, Fig. 2-78:) must not be actuated while the motor is running up to speed (max. 6 seconds).

An electric timer interlock (SPC) allows the electric motor to be started up not more than 4 times per hour (at 15-minute intervals).

The indicator lamps (42, Fig. 2-78:) and (2, Fig. 2-80:) come on as soon as the rotary field is correct
