Keep a fire extinguisher on hand and KNOW HOW TO USE IT. Check it regularly to ensure it is in good working order. Never attempt to disconnect any hydraulic lines unless boom is resting firmly on ground and hydraulic line pressure is relieved by working the controls back and forth several times with engine off.
