INTRODUCTION

This Handbook was designed to serve as a guide to safe and efficient operation of the DROTT 40BLC Logger. Strict adherence to therecommendations contained in these pages will ensure safer, more productive operation, will decrease machine downtime, and increase the life span of component parts.

The Book is divided into three sections, preceded by a general section on directional reference, nomenclature and specifications. Section I identifies the LOGGER controls and their functions. It also gives information on starting, stopping and operating procedures. Section II describes the various adjustments that are possible on the machine. Section III discusses the SCHEDULED PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE requirements for the LOGGER and provides the necessary information to fulfill these requirements.

PARTS & SERVICE

When writing or calling the PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION /' dealer or manufacturer about your NU PLATE nROTT machine, always refer to the model and PIN (Product Identification Number). See Figure 1. In addition, the engine and all major components of the machine have a serial plate or part number.

DIRECTIONAL REFERENCE

The LOGGER Turntable will rotate through a complete 360 degrees. The normal driving position is with the Crawler Drive to the rear as shown in Figure 2. In this position, directional callouts for both the Turntable and the Undercarriage are the same. All references to Front, Rear, Right or Left will be made with respect to this position.
