Stopping the machine
Do not keep the starter key in position START more than 10 seconds at each attempt; otherwise, the starter motor is damaged.
Warm-up the engine for at least 5 minutes, without considering ambient conditions.
Notice – If the engine has been inoperative for a long time or with low ambient temperature, increment the circulation of fuel with a few strokes of the primer pump.
Notice – Do not operate the starter motor for more than 10 seconds. If necessary, wait for a few minutes to facilitate the cooling-off of the starter motor. Avoid pointless starting attempts, since there is the risk of exhausting the batteries. Search for cause of failed starting.
Note – The most frequent causes of starting failure may be: presence of air in the fuel system, low battery charge, defective operation of the starter motor or faults in the electrical system.
STOPPING THE MACHINE
WARNING Never park on a slope without blocking the machine to prevent any movement.
Every time the operation of the machine is interrupted, for whatever reason, check that all controls are in neutral position and that the equipment control lever locking device is in lock position.
WARNING Always, before leaving the operator's seat and after making sure all people are clear of the machine, slowly lower the attachments or tools flat to the ground in a positive ground support position. Move eventual supplementary equipment to closed and safe position. Return all controls to rest position. Place engine controls on cut-off position. Lock all controls and disconnect the starter switch.
Reduce the engine speed. Move the joy-stick control to neutral, and engage the relevant safety lever into neutral position A.
