Reprogramming Status for WTEC II, WTEC III, and CEC2
3. If you want to continue, click YES. 4. The tool starts reprogramming the wires. A red status bar is displayed at the bottom of the TCM Reprogramming window. 5. A window is displayed indicating the wires were successfully reprogrammed.
6. Click OK. 7. The tool continues the process of reprogramming the CMCs. A red status bar is displayed at the bottom of the TCM Reprogramming window.
8. A window displays indicating the CMCs were successfully reprogrammed.

NOTE: If the service tool receives an error message from the TCM (for example a CMC value is out-of-range), a window (describing the problem) will be displayed, and the service tool re-displays the reprogramming screen.

9. Click OK.
During the reprogramming function, a status line displays at the bottom of the reprogramming window.
NOTE: The reprogramming of WTEC II, WTEC III, and CEC2 might take several minutes. Please be patient and make sure ignition and power is always provided during this process.
The following status messages are displayed for a WTEC II ECU: • Calculating calibration length and starting address. • Entering programming mode. • Reading calibration data. • Writing CMCs. • Calculating calibration checksums. • Writing calibration checksums. • Exiting programming mode. • Reinitializing ECU. The following status messages are displayed for a WTEC III or CEC2 ECU: • Calculating calibration length. • Entering programming mode. • Reading calibration data. • Saving old calibration data. • Calculating CMC checksum. • Erasing calibration data. • Writing calibration data. • Exiting programming mode. • Sending re-initialize auto-detect action request.
