A special gearshift lock has been developed to prevent undesired shifting into 7th gear.
The 7th gear gate can only be selected if the 5th or 6th gear was engaged previously. Downshifting can take place as desired.

Gate 3/4 selected => locking ring is decoupled 1 mm from the actuator shaft.
Gate 5/6 selected => actuator shaft pushes the locking ring upwards and blocks gate 7.
5th or 6th gear engaged => actuator shaft rotates by 29° => locking ring slides back in axial direction and releases gate 7.
5th or 6th gear disengaged =>
actuator shaft rotates back into neutral position => locking ring is radially preloaded via torsion spring.
Selecting gate 7 => actuator shaft pushes the locking ring upwards.
