Rosenberg-Richmond collecting for Helping Hands
ROSENBERG – RosenbergRichmond Lodge will meet Dec. 9. Turkey and dressing will be served. Dessert will be furnished. Members are asked to bring non-perishable food for Helping Hands. Games will be played. Sausage, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes was served at the Oct. 14 meeting held at the Rosenberg Civic Center. Members provided the desserts. Lynette Atkins, Jerome and Patsy Kubes, W. Lee Hedt, Fred and Margaret Maynard and John and Shirley Pavlock helped serve. Margie Krenek gave the blessing. Membership Coordinator Rosalie Byrd reported that sympathy cards were sent to the family of Virgie Koteras, Melvin and Gaynell Blahuta and the family of Bernice Sliva. Get well cards were sent to Margie Krenek, Malcolm Krause, Frank Pryor, Isabel Medina and Calvin Lamensky. A

Stern will celebrate McGregor Lodge will meet Nov. 6 Thanksgiving Nov. 3
Thanksgiving meal planned McGREGOR – McGregor Lodge will meet Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Charlie Griffith Center. A Thanksgiving meal will be served. Officers will be elected. The Dec. 4 meeting will also be held at the Charlie Griffith Center beginning at 7 p.m. A Christmas meal will be served and gifts will be provided. The Humanitarian Award will be
presented to Kevin Houchin. Members are asked to make plans to attend both of these holiday gatherings. Doris Mooney, Betty Johnson and Leona Hendrickson prepared the meal for the Oct. 2 meeting held at the Charlie Griffith Center Condolences are extended to the family of Geneva Quebe Barse family following her
passing on Aug. 31. Members approved a donation to the Retirement Home Christmas Fund. Members planned to observe Make a Difference Day at Westview Manor. They planned to play games with the residents and serve refreshments. Door prize winners were Regenia and Kerry Arseneaux. – Reporter
Giddings welcomes new members GIDDINGS – Giddings Lodge welcomes four new members. They are Liam Miller, Levi Akin, Dolores Flores and Maritza Rubalcava. These members and their families are invited to attend meetings at the Silos on 77. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. The lodge thanks President Eugene Zollinger for attending the September meeting and presenting a 70-year member-
ship pin to Gloria Lawrence. Gloria has been a member since March 23, 1949. Birthday cards were sent to Waldine Ebner, Carmen Ebner, Debbie Beisert, Kenneth Pampell, Arthur Urban and Damian DeLaRosa. Thank-you and getwell cards were sent to Loretta Chilek. The Make a Difference Day project was scheduled for Oct. 24 at the First Presbyterian Church. Members served sandwiches,
chips, cookies and drinks at the afternoon program offered to children in Lee County. The $5 prize winners were Julian DeLaRosa, Olivia Mize and Cecilia Martinez. Don Lawrence, Gloria Lawrence and Belle DeLaRosa each won kitchen towels. The meeting closed with a prayer and then members enjoyed a casserole provided by Cecilia Martinez. – Reporter
STERN – Stern Lodge will host a Thanksgiving Day celebration meal at the Sunday, Nov. 3, meeting. At the Oct. 6 meeting, the lodge welcomed two new members. They are Leila Kalani May and Leland Kamaki May, both grandchildren of President Rick May. Rick’s granddaughter, Briell May, has started dance at the Seguin School of Dance. Members discussed numerous organizations that would benefit from a donation from the lodge. Further discussion
was planned for the November meeting. Members celebrating October birthdays were Debbie Engelke, Kevin May and Bobbie Wesch. Barbara and Donald Morawietz celebrated a wedding anniversary in October. Door prize winners were Reno Reiley, Brandi May and Ricky Engelke. Members enjoyed a meal of Mexican casserole, rice, salad and bread. Cakes and pies were served for dessert. – Debbie Engelke
New Bielau meets Nov. 25 WEIMAR – New Bielau Lodge will hold its next meeting Nov. 25. At the Sept. 23 meeting held at the New Bielau Community Center, the lodge welcomed new member Kylie Alaiya Jean-Batista.
The lodge made a donation to the Retirement Home and discussion was held on the Make a Difference Day project. Birthday celebrants included Jean Trefny, Franklin Addicks and Harlene Novak. – Reporter
