Kirby presents Christmas donations to Boysville
KIRBY – Kirby Lodge will meet again on Monday, Feb. 4. The lodge will provide chicken and members are asked to bring side dishes and desserts. Members had a wonderful time at the Christmas party in December. A catered meal was served. A special thank you goes to all who worked hard to make the party a success. Lodge members were able to present Boysville with more than $266 in monetary donations, lots of toys and other household items. Officers were installed at the January meeting. Old Glory to meet Feb. 2 OLD GLORY – Old Glory Lodge will meet Sunday, Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. A pot luck meal will be served. Illness kept attendance down at the January meeting. Officers for 2019 were installed and include president, Doug Vahlenkamp; secretary, Diane Corzine; treasurer, Verlene Corzine; trustees Terry Letz, Marvin Vahlenkamp and Justin Corzine; Finance Committee members, Carm Letz, Brenda Vahlenkamp and Chub Richards; and reporter, Anita Dozier. A moment of silence was observed in memory of Patty Campbell from Grapevine who recently passed away. Doug won the door prize. After the meeting, members played games and enjoyed soup, stew and chili and lots of good desserts. – Reporter

New Braunfels installs officers for 2019 NEW BRAUNFELS – New Braunfels Lodge met Jan. 6 for the first meeting of 2019. Phillip and Janice Neff introduced their daughter, son-inlaw and grandson. Agent Shirley Huebinger reminded everyone that anyone who recommends someone for membership will be entered in a monthly drawing for a gift card. Two winners will be
chosen each month. Two new members were welcomed. A card was sent to Leola Stolte who broke her leg. President Tommy Daum installed the elected and appointed officers. Games and refreshments preceded a chicken tender supper. – Reporter
New Braunfels Lodge conducted a memorial service during the January meeting. Dennis Schwab placed a white flower on the cross as the names of 13 deceased members were read.
