Giddings supports Lee County Livestock Show GIDDINGS – Members of Giddings Lodge No. 54 showed their support of the youth of Lee County with the purchase of a hog during the 44th Annual Lee County Junior Livestock Show Sale on March 5. The hog was purchased from Kaden Noe of Northwest Lee County 4-H. Welcomed as new members at the March meeting were Kanon Wachsmann and Colt Niemeyer. Members were reminded that the Lee County School of Dance Recital will be held Saturday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the Giddings High School Cafeteria. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Special Representative Gary Falkenberg reminded members about the interest rates currently being paid on Hermann Sons annuities.

Rutersville will donate to food pantry
SAN ANTONIO – Vineta Lodge No. 15 will meet May 5 at El Mirador. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Call Ruth Bailey at 210-602-5147 for a reservation. Members will eat free of charge and guests will be charged $12. Everyone will then return to the Home Association Building for cake, a short business meeting and games. On May 18, members will gather for a social at 10:30 a.m. They will play bunco followed by lunch. On July 20, the lodge will host a scholarship fund-rais-
RUTERSVILLE – Rutersville Lodge No. 152 will meet May 4. The lodge will serve hot links. Members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Hamburgers and all the trimmings were served at the April 6 meeting. Members provided the side dishes and desserts. Welcomed as a new member was Stetson Wayne Norsworthy. Agent Linda Mattocks and husband Jim were in attendance. She spoke briefly about policies that mature when the insured turns age 100. She explained the tax consequences of cashing in the policy. The lodge will make a monetary donation to the AMEN food pantry in observance of Join Hands Day.
