Tchoyi’s first goal at the Hawthorns gave the Baggies a deserved halftime lead as they dominated the opening 45 minutes. Odemwingie then completed his side’s first league win over Newcastle for 26 years before Peter Lovenkrands scored a late goal for Newcastle. “I thought everything about today was good,” West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo
said. “We scored three great goals and we controlled the game for the majority of the time. “I think we pressed them quite high up the pitch, we never let them settle in. We recovered possession quite well.” After 32 minutes, Tchoyi broke the deadlock with his first goal at the Hawthorns and fourth of the campaign. Chris Brunt found Tchoyi in space inside the box and the Cameroonian midfielder cut inside Jose

Nagoa’s big win over St Domnic HERALD SPORTS REPORTER MAPUSA, DEC 5
Saish Palyekar netted a brace as Nagoa Sports Club reached the finals demolishing St Domnic Savio Sports Club 9-1 in GFA’s Third Division play-off at Duler stadium here on Sunday. Nagoa led 2-1 at the breather. Eight different Nagoa players managed to get their name on the scoresheet and by the end of the match even their goalkeeper managed to score. Nagoa performed to a high standard, with a sharpness of passing which distressed their opponents. Pravin Jadav stood out for the winners with his dribbling and passing. St Domnic found it difficult to close down their opponents and hastily tried to clear the ball
by any means possible. The forward line spent most of their time having to drop back and help out the midfield. Nagoa took the lead in the 17th minute when Lawrence Rodrigues exchanged passes with teammate Pravin Jadav before firing into the bottom corner. The lead did not last long as nine minutes later, against the run of play Ashwin Kauthankar surprised everyone shooting from outside the box on the half volley to equalise. This did not upset Nagoa’s game plan as they maintained the onslaught and they were rewarded just before the interval when Saish Palyekar rose in the box to head in from a cross hoisted in by Roguvin Salgaokar from the left side.
Nagoa continued the second half in the same fashion as the first and they managed to score from the kick off through the boots of Adnan Baig, after Pravin had crossed from right. Five minutes later Nagoa found themselves 4-1 up when Pravin hit an irresitable shot from outside the box which beat the goalkeeper at his far post. In the 58th, Pravin wrongfooted his marker before laying the ball off for Saish Palyekar who finished with complete confidence. With 13 minutes left, the St Dominic custodian committed a blunder when he came rushing out of his goal to clear but missed the ball and allowed Roguvir Salgaonkar to tap into an empty net.
to leave Odemwingie with a clear run on goal, and he kept his composure before slipping a left-footed shot wide of Krul. Guthrie was stretchered off and replaced by Alan Smith. Odemwingie rounded Krul with a minute left to score before Lovenkrands’s injury-time consolation.
By this stage the crowd could not take anymore and started to make their way for the exit. If this was a boxing match, the referee would have probably ended the contest at this point. In the 82nd, Mohamed Ali delivered a killer blow by punting in and a minute later Someshekar Kumbar netted the eight. Deep into injury time Nagoa rubbed salt in the wounds when their goalkeeper was allowed to make his way down the field to convert from the penalty spot after teammate Somshekar Kumbar was fouled by the rival goalkeeper. Nagoa will now meet Siolim Sodiem Sports and Cultural Association after they defeated BAFF 5-4 via the tie-breaker on Saturday.
it would deploy climate-control technology to keep the temperature on the pitch to 27 degrees Celsius while outside it was a scorching 50 degrees. "One should think about a different solution," Beckenbauer told the Bild newspaper, where he also works as a columnist. "In January or February you have a comfortable 25 degrees there. Plans for the biggest leagues would have to change for 2022 but that would not be a major undertaking."
