Poca claridad y silencio respecto a la cancelación de la Ibercup Élite

Una oportunidad desaprovechada, como resultado, y muchos claroscuros en las verdaderas causas y motivos que llevaron, apenas unas 48 horas antes del inicio de la edición, a la cancelación de la Ibercup Élite 2024 en el entorno de Sotogrande y el municipio de San Roque.

Cronológicamente, con pocas horas de antelación, se notificó la suspensión de la presentación oficial, así como de la convocatoria total del evento, con poca información al respecto. Una cita que involucraba a más de 1.500 jóvenes y que en su puesta de largo anunciaba la llegada de importantes entidades y clubes de referencia a nivel nacional e internacional. Una oportunidad perdida y pocas o ninguna respuesta oficial que aclarase los motivos.

¿Las razones? Ni administración local, ni provincial, ni tan siquiera la organización, fuera del comunicado, avanzan más detalles. El río de críticas en Redes Sociales fue demasiado negativo como para no avanzar nada más. ¿Filtraciones y especulaciones? Muchas. Desde falta de permisos, conflictos políticos y falta de apoyos, a ciertos intereses no compartidos en cuanto a la regulación del fútbol regional y diferentes cargos. Hechos contrastados, menos y nadie hablar. I

Este medio incluso pudo corroborar que en últimas instancias esta competición fue ofrecida a otros municipios del Campo de Gibraltar. En definitiva, una mancha a los ojos del destino, del entorno y una propaganda nefasta que contrasta con los grandes esfuerzos del tejido empresarial local por mostrar lo mejor de este privilegiado punto del mapa. Faltan responsabilidades y respuestas.

There were many participant teams, parents and people linked to it who were going to attend the event, showing their disagreements and great setbacks regarding the cancellation after planning travel, hotels and all the preparations entailed in participating in such an event.

The reasons? Neither the local nor provincial administration, and not even the organisers aside from the statement have announced more details. The flood of criticism on Social Media was too negative to not announce anything else. Leaks and speculation? A lot. From a lack of permits, political conflict and a lack of support, to certain interests that were not shared regarding the regulation of regional football and different positions. Es ciertamente frustrante, ya que la realidad siempre supera a la ficción o en este caso, a los macro-planes de comunicación, imagen y visibilidad de un destino. Esta edición de abril de El Periódico de Sotogrande que sostiene en sus manos, así como cualquier otra publicación impresa, digital, valla de carretera, publicidad audiovisual o presencia en ferias especializadas o salones internacionales, son la consecuencia de una gran apuesta y esfuerzo de empresas privadas (en un 95%) y entidades públicas (pocas o muy pocas, como es el caso en este medio de comunicación a nivel local), por mostrar una imagen de destino sólida y de calidad.

Un increíble aparato de comunicación esbozado y pensado para transmitir una imagen de destino a nivel nacional e internacional propia y a la altura de Sotogrande, de un entorno residencial de lujo del más alto nivel y excepcional en su segmento. Un esfuerzo económico y profesional por presentar Sotogrande y su área de influencia, como uno de los enclaves más privilegiados del sur de Europa y un resort de lujo con los mayores. Pues todos esos esfuerzos, en apenas quince días, podemos verlos tirados por los suelos por una mala previsión, gestión y transmisión de información.

Una ocasión despediciada de sumar una aportación económica sin parangón en esta ventana del calendario y mostrar que Sotogrande y su área son un destino perfecto para el deporte de alto nivel y de formación, los 365 días del año. Resumen: oscurantismo, poca información, rumorología, intereses políticos reñidos, intereses particulares mezclados y como resultado, titulares y prensa de todo el país lamentando la gran oportunidad desperdiciada. Por los motivos que sean, cancelar el evento y malograr esa oportunidad desvirtúa el concepto del resort.

This April edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande which you are holding, as well as any other printed, digital, road hoarding, audiovisual advertising or presence at specialised fairs or international shows, is the result of a great commitment and effort from private companies (95%) and public entities (few or very few, as is the case with this local media out) to show a strong and quality image of the destination.

An incredible communication device created and devised to convey an image of the destination nationally and internationally that befits Sotogrande, a luxury residential area of the highest level and one that is exceptional in its segment. An economic and professional effort to present Sotogrande and its area of influence, as one of the most privileged settings in southern Europe and a luxury resort to compete with the best. Well, we can see all those efforts completely wasted within just a fortnight due to poor foresight, management and transmission of information.

Tanto la empresa matriz, como la entidad urbanística, así como el desarrollo de obra nueva y promociones de alto nivel; llevan décadas apostando por el desarrollo sostenible, respeto del medio y prácticas de construcción encaminadas a la optimización y reutilización de recursos. ¿Resultado? Noticias en ‘The Daily Mirror’ británico y televisiones nacionales sobre el tratamiento “tercermundista” a los turistas británicos en Sotogrande. Tener que tragarnos titulares como: “Sotogrande la oveja negra” o “Sotogrande castigado sin agua”. Igualmente, consecuencia de una mala información y de una gestión, al menos cuestionable, sobre la comunicación y previsión de escenarios en cuanto al suministro de agua. En definitiva, mismo resultado, pésima imagen. La realidad es que pese a los esfuerzos por mostrar el Sotogrande más natural, comprometido y excelso; nos encontramos la ineptitud de otros estamentos que tiran por tierra esta imagen. Lo de siempre, la guerra cada uno por su cuenta y la devaluación del concepto Sotogrande. Rememos por continuar con la bandera en alto.

Within just a few hours, we have become the opposite. Unanimidad y cohesión para el rechazo del fondeadero frente a la costa

• Un plan de contingencia a esta expansión portuaria que desde el año 2016, con relaciones entre tejido empresarial y administraciones locales, trabajan por disuadir por completo.

Señalan directamente a la Autoridad Portuaria Bahía de Algeciras y al lobby de distintas empresas como los promotores de ese fondeadero exterior, que no tiene razón ninguna de ser, porque es innecesario. Tuvo lugar la primera de las reuniones de coordinación para la redacción de las alegaciones al proyecto y en la que participaron otros ediles del Equipo de Gobierno, técnicos municipales y representantes de empresas turísticas situadas en la costa mediterránea sanroqueña.

Desde el año 2016 se manifestaron rotundamente en contra, por unanimidad de todos los grupos políticos de los que conformaban la Corporación Municipal.

En aquel momento se argumentaba que los actuales fondeaderos que se ubican dentro de la bahía de Algeciras eran insuficientes, cuando otros promotores, empresarios y otros grupos del sector Portuario nos dicen que habitualmente los fondeaderos que están dentro de la bahía están desocupados y que, por tanto, tienen capacidad libre. La propuesta ubica el fondeadero en la costa del valle del Guadiaro, del municipio de San Roque, más concretamente desde Alcaidesa La Línea, hacia la provincia de Málaga, hacia las costas de Manilva, en casi 10 kilómetros de litoral sanroqueño, que podrían verse afectados.

Los cuatro fondeaderos existentes en el área de la bahía, que suman más de 1332 hectáreas y que tiene una capacidad máxima de 33 buques, “es más que suficiente, y así se ha demostrado en los últimos años, para el puerto de Algeciras”,

dijo Ruiz Boix.

Argumentaron que en el puerto no hay un mayor tráfico, al contrario, en los últimos años hay buques de mayor capacidad que hacen que sea innecesario el que haya un mayor número de buques, porque los buques que siguen viniendo lo que han hecho es incrementar su tamaño y su capacidad. Recodar que tanto la llegada de Cepsa y los inicios de Sotogrande, ambos en el año 66, ha demostrado en la

historia de San Roque que era compatible convivir dos sectores teóricamente antagónicos e incompatibles, y San Roque ha dado muestras que en tan solo 10 kilómetros de distancia pueden convivir un fuerte sector industrial, el más potente de Andalucía y el segundo más potente de España, y al mismo tiempo un sector turístico deportivo que claramente ha ido creciendo y evolucionando también a un turismo hotelero.

Se teme que por mucho que digan habrá trasiego de combustible, tendrán cambio de tripulantes, arriado de botes y tendrán trabajo en caliente a bordo, actuaciones que podrían atentar contra un turismo de calidad, que es el que hoy ofrece ese valle del Guadiaro en esos 10 kilómetros de litoral de San Roque. Recordaron que de los 15 kilómetros de litoral en el municipio de San Roque, hay cinco que están ubicados en el área de la bahía en los que ya hay servidumbres industriales importantes, que hacen que sea difícil la convivencia en los vecinos de estas barriadas con un sector industrial que se decidió hace 50 años.

Se anunció que van a presentar alegaciones, antes del plazo que acaba el 17 de abril, y la contrariedad y rechazo total y absoluto a un fondeadero exterior que entendemos que es innece-

sario, porque existe capacidad suficiente en los cuatro fondeaderos hoy existentes, que habitualmente están desocupados.

Se acusa a la Autoridad Portuaria y al lobby portuario en que únicamente piensen en el que crecimiento egoísta de esta actividad, en detrimento del crecimiento y de los avances de otras actividades económicas, que también generan empleo en la comarca, como es la del sector turismo deportivo de alta calidad. En esta zona se cuenta con nueve campos de golf, doce canchas de polo y que cuenta hoy con más de mil plazas hoteleras, a las que se va a sumar muy pronto otras 800 plazas dentro del proyecto de Millennium, y que hay distintos proyectos o promociones nuevas que hacen pensar que en un plazo medio de cuatro años, San Roque contará con más de 3000 plazas hoteleras.

El Gobierno y sus aliados preguntan: ¿cómo es posible que perdamos respaldo en las urnas cuando la economía va bien?

Es verdad que Pedro Sánchez ha concitado críticas por motivos ajenos a la economía, desde la amnistía para los líderes separatistas catalanes hasta diversos casos de posible corrupción que afectaron a antiguos miembros de su gabinete ministerial y dirigentes de su partido, y hasta a su propia mujer. Cabe sospechar que todo ello puede recortar su popularidad, independientemente de la realidad macroeconómica.

Limitándonos a dicha realidad, lo que sabemos a estas alturas del año es que la economía, efectivamente, va mejor de lo esperado, y mejor que otros países europeos, como Alemania.

Al mismo tiempo, también se comprende la aparente paradoja de que los ciudadanos no terminen de apreciar la bondad de la situación económica. Veamos cuatro importantes preocupaciones de la gente: el nivel de vida, el empleo, la vivienda y los impuestos.

El resort de lujo SO Sotogrande rozó en Semana Santa el 90% de ocupa-

ción, y no se llenó en su totalidad debido a las cancelaciones de última hora atribuibles a la lluvia. Este excelente resultado y el trabajo que se está haciendo para lograr tan buenas cifras todo el año fue felicitado por el alcalde, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, en una visita a este hotel junto al concejal de Turismo, Alfonso Valdivia. Las 152 habitaciones suponen más de 350 personas

alojadas, un porcentaje importante de las más de 300 habitaciones y más de 1.000 camas hoteleras que existen en San Roque. A ellas se unirán previsiblemente este año las del Hotel Milenium que se construye en La Alcaidesa, con 150 habitaciones y 47 villas turísticas. Para el primer edil, “el destino turístico San Roque sigue creciendo, cada vez con mayor excelencia”, y enfocado princi-

palmente en un turismo de alto poder adquisitivo que también genera riqueza en comercios y hostelería. En cuanto al SO Sotogrande, el alcalde aplaudió que gran parte del año supere su ocupación media, y que esté trabajando en desestacionalizar su oferta potenciando el turismo de eventos, con el objetivo de pasar del 80% de camas ocupadas en los doce meses del año.

Tourist occupancy levels come close to 90% in the area during Holy Week

Good assessment, good figures and a tourism forecast ahead of the 2024 summer season that is much greater than expected. Despite how unstable and unappealing the weather was during Holy Week; the occupancy figures provide very attractive results and expectations are very high ahead of the upcoming periods of the calendar. Undoubtedly, a good example is provided by the main hotel hotspot in the resort, Hotel SO/Sotogrande.

During Holy Week, the SO Sotogrande luxury resort came close to 90% occupancy, and it wasn’t completely full due to last minute cancellations owing to the rain. This excellent result and the work that is being carried out to achieve such good figures throughout the year was congratulated by the mayor, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, in a visit to the hotel alongside the delegate for Tourism, Alfonso Valdivia. Cortes, desconcierto y alarma por el suministro de agua en Sotogrande y Pueblo Nuevo

• El endurecimiento de medidas en la zona, con cortes de suministro entre las 21:00 y las 7:00 horas, crean una gran alarma.

• Arcgisa anuncia, tras las últimas precipitaciones, que se permitirá el uso de piscinas comunitarias y hoteleras de cara a la temporada de verano.

Preocupación, incertidumbre y cierta alarma social en los últimos días, desde que el pasado 9 de abril entrase en vigor el endurecimiento de las restricciones y cortes de agua en las zonas de Sotogrande y Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro. Pese a los importantes ciclos de precipitaciones en las últimas semanas, se elevaron las medidas de restricción en ambas áreas y se establecieron cortes zonales entre las 21:00 y las 7:00 horas.

Una situación que contrasta por completo con la del resto de la Comarca, que ve crecer su cupo de consumo; una situación que ha llamado la atención de numerosos medios de comunicación nacionales e incluso, alguno internacional. Precisamente, crea una especial alarma y desconcierto esta situación, ya que los últimos días se ha conocido por parte de la Junta de Andalucía y de la Mesa de Sequía, el anuncio de una flexibilización de las restricciones por las últimas precipitaciones.

Respecto a los nuevos hora-

rios y falta de suministro en el entorno, Aguas del Valle del Guadiaro informó a través de una misiva a los propietarios afectados por los cortes, con fecha del 9 de abril, que pese a “las lluvias de la pasada Semana Santa los embalses han mejorado poco su situación” y anunció que no se llevaría a cabo ninguna “relajación de las medidas de ahorro”. También determinó que en “Sotogrande y Pueblo Nuevo” se encontraba “muy por encima de los valores de consumo por encima de lo marcado”, según las entidades

competentes. Por lo que se deriva en que la “Administración nos obliga a tomar una serie de medidas no deseadas por nadie, pero de obligado cumplimiento”, como es la de realizar “cortes durante el suministro nocturno a partir de las 21:00 horas y comenzará a restablecerse a partir de las 6/7:00 de la madrugada”, concluye el comunicado. Una situación, a todas luces, que se ha cumplido en muy pocas propiedades. Los propios vecinos reclamaron que en ningún momento tuvieron conoci-

miento o información pertinente sobre los niveles de consumo y que, además, la primera jornada de cortes fueun verdadero “caos” a la hora de recuperar el suministro, ya que muchos afectados llegaron a alcanzar más de las 11:00 horas de la mañana sin agua.

Última actualización mesa de sequía

El pasado 16 de abril la Mesa de Sequía [coordinada por Arcgisa, empresa pública mancomunada], determinó que tras los últimos ciclos de precipitaciones en los

días colindantes a la Semana Santa en el Campo de Gibraltar, se ha conseguido pasar de una situación de “emergencia” a “alerta”, lo que conlleva en una cierta mejoría del volumen de agua en los pantanos y relativa flexibilización de las medidas aunque realmente será en mayo, con carácter proactivo cuando se publique en el BOJA, que se lleven a cabo estas actualizaciones.

Entre ellas destacan el cambio del consumo, de los 160 litros por persona y día, se pasaría a unos 200 litros en los mismos guarismos. En el caso del uso agrario, se pasará de 2 a 4 hectómetros y en el uso industrial se reduce del 20 al 10 en puntos porcentuales.

En cuanto a usos más prácticos y sociales, destacar que las piscinas comunitarias y/o vinculadas al sector hotelero y turístico especializado, estará permitido su abastecimiento y suministro de agua, al que no pasará, por el momento en las piscinas de carácter privado. Las duchas para el suminis-

tro de piscina y playas quedan restringidas y sólo se permitirán en instalaciones de carácter deportivas o esenciales.

En relación a lo que afecta al municipio de San Roque, desde Arcgisa, detallaron que lleva semanas con un gasto superior al cupo permitido, que “cuatriplicaría” el consumo de otros enclaves de la Comarca. De ahí, según estableció el organismo regulador, la toma de decisiones que llevan a las restricciones de agua actuales, especialmente aquellas que afectan a la zona de Sotogrande y Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, dos de los entornos de mayor consumo.

Exposición mediática internacional

En la última semana, varios medios de perfil nacional e internacional, pero en esencia, uno particularmente de origen británico, puso la voz de alarma al “tercermundista” tratamiento al turismo británico en la zona, relación a los cortes en el suministro de agua. Tanto las entidades públicas, como privadas en el tejido empresarial local, rechazan esta postura y llaman a la tranquilidad y normalización de una situación circunstancial y que a todas luces, con los lógicos inconvenientes que pueden conllevar los cortes parciales, no evitan el consumo ordinario de agua en los domicilios y/o empresas. Incluso se estableció que desde 2021 se están tomando medidas de contención del gasto en la Comarca y la zona del Valle del Guadiaro, que por la singularidad de sus residencias [la urbanización de Sotogrande y entorno] precisan de un consumo de agua mayor.

Ya están también en proyecto diferentes planes para llevar agua terciaria o regenerada a estos puntos, en los próximos años, para garantizar el riego y otro tipo de usos similares con agua

depurada o regenerada.

Sanciones

Por carácter colectivo, al municipio, se establecen unas sanciones por valor cercano a los 600.000 euros en el caso de que una localidad reiteradamente incumpla los

cupos de consumo. Mientras que en el caso personal o individual, las multas o sanciones pueden alcanzar los 6.000 euros.

Una situación poco deseable y que no beneficia en ningún termino a imagen, gestión, propietarios, inquilinos

y muchos más sectores afectados por este problema en el entorno. Lo que llama a todas luces a buscar un punto de equilibrio y diálogo entre administraciones y consumidores. En la última edición de Semana Santa de El Periódico de Sotogrande,

se menciona en un importante informe, el elevado número de consecuencias que esta situación ya está ocasionando en Sotogrande y todo su entorno.

Desde todos los estamentos se llama a un uso responsable del agua y su consumo.

Cuts, consternation and alarm over water supply in Sotogrande and Pueblo Nuevo

• Toughening of measures in the area, with supply cuts between 21:00 and 7:00, creates great social alarm.

• After the last rainfall, Arcgisa has announced that the use of community and hotel pools will be allowed ahead of the summer season.

Concern, uncertainty and a certain social alarm in recent days since the toughening of restrictions and water cuts came into force on 9 April in the areas of Sotogrande and Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro.

Despite the significant cycles of rainfall in recent weeks, the restrictive measures were raised in both areas and zonal cuts were introduced between 21:00 and 7:00.

A situation in complete contrast with the rest of the Province, which has seen its consumption quota increase; a situation that has attracted the attention of several media outlets on a national level, and even, some international outlets. Indeed, this situation creates special alarm and consternation, as in recent days the Regional Government of Andalusia and the Drought Committee have announced that restrictions will be made more flexible due to the recent rainfall.

With regard to the new times and lack of supply in the area, Aguas del Valle del Guadiaro

announced through a letter to the owners affected by the cuts, dated 9 April, that despite “the rain of Holy Week, the situation of the reservoirs has little improved” and announced that there would be no “relaxation of water saving measures.” It also stated that in “Sotogrande and Pueblo Nuevo” the “consumption levels were much higher than what had been stipulated” according to the competent authorities. This has thus led to the “Administration making us take a series of measures that are not wanted by anyone, but which are compulsory” such as having “cuts to the night supply from 21:00 with the supply restored again from 6/7:00 in the morning” concludes the statement. A situation that has clearly been complied with in very few homes.

The residents themselves claimed that at no time were they made aware or had information relating to the consumption levels and that, also, the first day of cuts was truly

“chaotic” when it came to switching the supply back on as many people affected were left without water until after 11:00 in the morning.

Latest update by the drought committee

On 16 April, the Drought Com-

mittee (coordinated by Arcgisa, a public company of the association of municipalities), ruled that after the latest cycles of rainfall in the days around Holy Week in Campo de Gibraltar, it has been possible to go from an “emergency” situation to an “alert”,

which entails a certain improvement in the volume of water in reservoirs and a relative flexibilization of measures although it will really be in May, with a proactive character that the BOJA (Official Bulletin of Andalusia) publishes that these measures should be im-

They notably include the change in consumption, from 160 litres per person per day, to 200 litres per person per day. In the case of agricultural use, it will go from 2 to 4 hectometres and for industrial use it will drop from 20 to 10 percentage points.

With regard to more practical and social use, it should be noted that community pools and/ or those linked to the hotel sector and specialised tourist sector, supply and provision of water will be permitted, which for the moment will not apply to private pools. Showers for pools and beaches are restricted and will only be allowed in sporting or essential facilities.

With regard to what affects the municipality of San Roque, Arcgisa revealed that for weeks its consumption has been over the permitted quota, which is “four times” the consumption of other areas in the Province. Hence why the regulatory body established taking decisions that will result in the current water restrictions, especially those affecting the Sotogrande area and Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, two of the areas with most consumption

International media exposure

In the last weeks, several national and international media outlets, but particularly one in Britain, raised the alarm over the “third world” treatment of British tourism in the area, relating to water supply cuts.

Both public and private entities in the local business community have rejected this position and called for calm and normalisation of a circumstantial situation which clearly, with the logical setbacks that may be entailed by the partial cuts, do not prevent the ordinary consumption of water in homes and/or companies. It was even established that since 2021 measures to contain consumption have been taken in the Province and the area of Valle del Guadiaro, which due to the unique situation of its properties (the resort of Sotogrande and surroundings), greater water consumption is required. Different plans are also in the pipeline to transport tertiary or regenerated water to those points, over coming years, in

order to guarantee irrigation and other types of similar uses with treated or regenerated water.

Sanctions

On a collective basis, for the municipality, sanctions are established amounting to almost

600,000 Euros in the event that a town repeatedly breaches the consumption quotas.

Meanwhile, on a personal or individual basis, fines and sanctions can rise to 6,000 Euros.

An undesirable situation which does not at all benefit the

image, owners, tenants and many other sectors which are affected by this problem in the area. This clearly makes it necessary to seek a balance and dialogue between administrations and consumers. The last Holy Week edition of El Periódico de Sotogrande, mentions

in an important report, the large number of consequences that this situation is already causing in Sotogrande and its entire surrounding area.

All levels of society are calling for responsible use and consumption of water.

Que pasa ahora si te dijera que hicieras esa misma hoja de ruta, pero en vez de para tu trabajo actual, lo hicieras para ti, para maximizar tu felicidad y plenitud. Pues lo que generalmente pasa es que no sabemos por dónde empezar y sólo tenemos unas ideas vagas de qué queremos en nuestra

vida. No nos solemos parar a pensar en ello. ¿Qué me hace feliz?, ¿Cómo me gustaría estar en un 1, 3, 5 o 10 años?. ¿Qué aspectos son los más relevantes de mi vida?. ¿Qué relaciones quiero tener? ¿A qué me quiero dedicar? ¿En que soy bueno?...etc, etc.

Me parece dramático que pongamos más rigor en trabajar para un tercero o una actividad laboral que en trabajar para nosotros mismos. Al fin y al cabo, el recurso más escaso que tenemos en nuestra vida es…. ¡Nuestra propia vida!.

Te invito a que pienses con rigor en cómo quieres que sea tu vida futura, y que plan de acción quieres poner en marcha para que se cumpla. ¡Profesionalízate en la gestión de ti mismo!. El precio del alquiler en Andalucía sube un 3,60% en el primer trimestre

Inercia, de nuevo, en crecimiento. El piso tipo de alquiler en Andalucía registró en marzo de 2024 un precio de variación trimestral del 3,60%. Respecto a marzo de 2023, creció un 6,51%. Mensualmente, registró un incremento del 1,46%. Andalucía estuvo a la misma distancia de la región más cara, Baleares que de la más barata, La Rioja. Por su parte, la vivienda en alquiler en España tuvo en marzo de 2024 un precio medio de en ascenso mensual del 1,06% y trimestral del 2,88%. Interanualmente creció un 7,82%.

Respecto a las provincias andaluzas, Sevilla (8,61%) arrojó el sexto repunte trimestral más importante del país. Por su parte, Jaén (-8,23%) fue la segunda que más cayó de España. De un año a otro, Sevilla (17,48%) registró la séptima mayor subida de España, y Jaén (-16,02%) fue la tercera que más cayó a nivel nacional.

Momentum in growth once again. In March 2024, the average flat rental in Andalusia recorded a quarterly price change of 3.60%. Compared to March 2023, it increased by 6.51%. Month on month, it recorded an increase of 1.46%.

Andalusia was the same distance from the most expensive region, the Balearic Islands, as it was from the cheapest, La Rioja. In turn, in March 2024 rental property in Spain had an average monthly price rise of 1.06% and quarterly rise of 2.88%. Year on year, it increased 7.82%.

In mediation there is a lot of work on the message, both on its content and the way that things are said. Taking advantage of this, I am going to share a few phrases that you can use to strengthen and look after your relationships. It doesn’t matter if it is your partner or a friendship, if you want to add joy and excitement, communicate through these types of messages and try to make it a habit.

For example, some of these messages could be:

1. I want to know how you feel, it is something that really matters to me.

2. We are a team, remember?

3. I have a different view of it, but thanks for sharing it with me. In fact, I would like to find out more about your position, would you like to tell me more?

4. Tell me how I can help you at the moment, what would make you feel better: If I listen to you? Telling you what I think? Some advice? Staying silent? Space?

5. Don’t worry, we will talk about it when you are ready, I know that it isn’t easy for you to talk about the matter.

6. Honestly, at the start the conversation was uncomfortable for me, but now I understand you better and I think you understand me better too.

7. You know you can count on me, right? I am here for whatever you need.

These are just a few specific examples, but if you look closely, in every case the key is to convey what matters to you to the other person, to show that their wellbeing is important for you and that the relationship is too.

Conveying coherence and consistency around that, that is what feeds the relationship. Alerta por alergia: las temperaturas cálidas y la

ausencia de lluvias intensifican la alergia al polen

• El doctor Ignacio García Núñez, jefe de servicio de Alergología de Quirónsalud Campo de Gibraltar y Córdoba, señala una serie de factores que influyen directamente en su incidencia.

La primavera ha llegado tras un invierno y un otoño relativamente seco, pero no extremadamente frío. La estación actual es donde la naturaleza despierta del sueño invernal y los pacientes con alergia al polen (o que sospechan que la padecen) se preguntan sobre cómo se va a desarrollar esta estación.

El doctor Ignacio García Núñez es el jefe de servicio de Alergología de los hospitales Quirónsalud Campo de Gibraltar y Quirónsalud Córdoba, y apunta una serie de factores que repercuten directamente en el tipo de primavera que se nos viene. “Los alérgicos quieren saber cómo van a ser los próximos meses y para conocerlo, dependemos de varios factores que nos sirven para pronosticar el estado general que van a tener. Por una parte, las lluvias. Hemos tenido un marzo muy lluvioso, pero viniendo de un otoño e invierno seco, esto sólo ha servido para que los arbustos y malezas tipo jaramagos crezcan más de lo normal y apreciemos en nuestras carreteras y solares abandonados unas plantas con flores amari-

llas mucho más altas de lo normal. De cara a la floración del olivo, estas lluvias deberían aparecer de nuevo durante este mes de abril para que el suelo recupere la falta de agua que tiene y los olivos vean que abrir más flores no va a significar una pérdida de energía o una pérdida de posibles descendientes por falta de agua, elemento básico de la vida”, manifiesta el doctor.

La temperatura es otro de los factores determinantes para ejercer un pronóstico, ya que “condiciona la apertura de las flores: a mayor temperatura, mayor apertura de flores emisoras de polen, lo que se traducirá en niveles polínicos más altos en la atmósfera. Y, por tanto, mayor duración de estos si no llueve, ya que la lluvia hace que el polen se moje y caiga al suelo, prota-

gonizando un efecto de limpieza de la atmósfera y volviéndose inofensivo para los alérgicos”.

No menos importante es el cuidado que tengamos, ya que los alérgicos que saben que lo son, ya conocen cómo pueden estar en primavera. “Lo normal es que las personas que sufren alergia estén igual o peor que el año pa-

sado, por lo que lo ideal es no dejar el tratamiento médico para cuando comiencen a tener síntomas. Dichos tratamientos necesitan horas o días para hacer efecto y no hay que sufrir sin necesidad. Quien haya sido previsor y esté recibiendo su inmunoterapia específica contra el polen, pasará una muy buena primavera. Incluso muchos pacientes estarán asintomáticos y pasarán la primavera como otra estación del año cualquiera”, señala el especialista.

En este sentido, el doctor Ignacio García Núñez recomienda acudir a un especialista en Alergología ante cualquier duda o síntoma al respecto, ya que “los alérgicos, conocidos o no, deben ponerse en manos de un alergólogo para que les explique unas pautas de conducta y de tratamiento para estos meses. Básicamente para que su vida no sea una película de terror y estemos deseando que lleguen los fines de semana para huir a la costa, o no pudiendo salir al recreo por culpa del ‘polvo amarillo’ en suspensión que es característico en muchas zonas”.

Many patients will be asymptomatic and will experience spring like any other season of the year”, states the spe-

cialist.

Reclaman soluciones para el Puente de Hierro, tras dos años cerrado parcialmente al tráfico

Se ha reclamado a la Junta soluciones para el Puente de Hierro de Guadiaro, que lleva dos años cerrado parcialmente al tráfico, ya que no pueden circular por el mismo autobuses y vehículos pesados, por parte del Consistorio. Se lamenta que desde hace dos años se impide el tránsito por este puente de los autobuses escolares, los urbanos, los que cubren la conexión de Guadiaro con La Línea y Estepona, y de otros vehículos pesados, sin que la Consejería de Fomento de una solución al respecto. Este cierre del puente impide el trasiego de vida diaria entre los vecinos de San Enrique y los vecinos de Guadiaro y de Pueblo Nuevo, que incluye el autobús escolar que recoge a los alumnos de Torreguadiaro y San Enrique que cursan sus estudios en el centro de educación secundaria que existe en Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiano, el IES Sierra Almenara.

Han pasado dos años sin ningún tipo de actuación, tan sólo un pequeño asfaltado en la zona urbana de la carretera, pero ninguna actuación para que los autobuses urba-

nos, de escolares y el del Consorcio de Transportes del Campo de Gibraltar puedan pasar por este Puente. Se critica que Consorcio de Transportes no haya actuado ante la Junta para restituir el tráfico en el Puente de Hierro Este cierre afecta también al trasiego de camiones de la actividad agraria, de la agricultura, de la ganadería y de la actividad del polo que también hay en esa zona. El Puente es un símbolo para el Valle del Guadiaro, en especial San Enrique, y ha sido

escenario incluso de películas y afamadas series de televisión

En la década de los años 20 el ingeniero madrileño Eduardo Torroja se encargó de construir uno de los símbolos del Valle de Guadiaro, el puente de hierro, elemento principal del patrimonio histórico de San Enrique de Guadiaro.

En concreto, las obras de la pasarela concluyeron en 1929, año en el que abrió al tráfico para acabar con el tránsito en barca y en el que entró a for-

mar parte del Circuito Nacional de Carreteras, incorporándose a la N-340. Hasta 1969, el puente estuvo en primera línea, aunque en dicho año se inauguró el de San Enrique, que uniría Málaga a San Roque y La Línea, por lo que el de Guadiaro pasó a formar parte de la red secundaria de carreteras de la provincia de Cádiz

El puente de hierro de Guadiaro cuenta con cuatro tramos metálicos apoyados en pilas de fábrica. Las péndolas de los cuchillos parabólicos

se arriostran mediante cruces de san Andrés, y los cuchillos, entre sí, mediante ligeras vigas transversales en celosía alternadas con celosías de mayor tamaño, arriostradas también mediante cruces de San Andrés. Las conexiones entre las distintas piezas metálicas se resuelven mediante roblones. El tablero consta de una banda central y dos andenes laterales, a modo de aceras, rematados por un pretil metálico. El tipo de construcción se conoce como Bow-string.

Sanrochef Junior llega un año más Guadiaro

Este mes de abril, cerca de una veintena de niños y niñas del valle del Guadiaro, de entre 6 y 14 años, disfrutan del curso “Sanrochef Junior” promovido por la Universidad Popular de San Roque, delegación que dirige el edil, Fernando Vega.

Al igual que el año pasado, la Universidad Popular de San Roque ha puesto en marcha el curso “Sanrochef Junior”, también en la zona del Valle del Guadiaro. Así, niños de entre 6 y 14 años disfrutarán todos los sábados de este mes de abril aprendiendo a cocinar diversos platos.

El teniente de alcalde de la zona, Óscar Ledesma, ha querido acercarse a saludarlos y a saber qué platos preparan en el curso. Ledesma explicó que dado la aceptación que tuvo el pasado año, este año se ha vuelto a realizar este curso de cocina infantil en el Valle del Guadiaro. Esperamos que los más pequeños disfruten y asimismo los padres, viendo disfrutar a sus pequeños.

La prestigiosa Copa Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande, Campeonato Europeo de Naciones, reúne una vez más a las principales potencias continentales, tanto masculinas como femeninas, en el histórico campo. España presenta dos equipos de garantías con la intención de volver a ganar, como ya hiciesen las chicas el año pasado y los chicos en 2022.

La competición, que volvió al calendario precisamente en 2022 tras dos ediciones de ausencia, se disputa del miércoles 17 al sábado 20 de abril y cuenta con veintiún equipos en su prueba masculina y con diez en la femenina. Ambas se disputan simultáneamente en Sotogrande.

El equipo español femenino -recordemos, defensor del títuloestá integrado por la tarraconense Anna Cañadó, la castellonense Balma Dávalos y la pontevedresa Alba González, con Adriana Zwanck y Covadonga Basagoiti en la capitanía. Las labores técnicas, tanto en el equipo masculino como en el femenino, recaen en Salva Luna. Es preciso reseñar que Anna

La competición se celebra bajo la modalidad “stroke play” (juego por golpes) a lo largo de los cuatro días que dura la prueba. Paralelamente a ésta se disputa la competición individual.

Comienzan los descensos del río Guadiaro en kayak para estudiantes de todos los institutos

Medio centenar de estudiantes del IES Carlos Castilla del Pino han sido los primeros, este martes, en llevar a cabo el descenso del río Guadiaro en kayak organizado por la Delegación de Deportes del Ayuntamiento. Alumnado de Primero de ESO de todos los institutos del municipio podrá disfrutar esta semana y la próxima de esta iniciativa gratuita del programa “Naturaleza y Deporte”.

El Área Recreativa del Guadiaro, situada en San Enrique, ha servido este martes de punto de salida y meta del descenso en kayak del citado río, en el que han participado medio centenar de estudiantes de Primero de ESO del IES Carlos Castilla del Pino. La teniente de alcalde delegada de Deportes y Educación, Mónica Córdoba, les ha acompañado en los primeros compases de una experiencia que estos niños y niñas han disfru-

tado a tope. Explicó la edil que “el Ayuntamiento de San Roque sigue organizando actividades extraescolares con los centros educativos del municipio, en este caso con los institutos y dentro del Programa Naturaleza y Deporte. Hoy comenzamos con entre cuarenta y cincuenta estudiantes del Carlos Castilla del Pino, pero esta semana y la próxima tenemos la agenda completa porque se han apuntado todos los

IES”.

Añadió que “nos han dicho que les apetecía mucho y, acompañados de profesores y monitores, estoy segura de que van a disfrutar de la actividad, que creo que es la primera vez que se realiza. Además -dijo Córdoba-, resulta muy interesante porque van a poder conocer desde dentro el río Guadiaro”, concluyó. Los estudiantes iban acompañados por un total de diez adultos, entre monitores y

profesores, y en tierra esperaba una ambulancia para cualquier eventualidad. En el área recreativa los niños y niñas recibieron unos chalecos salvavidas y explicaciones sobre cómo coger y mover las palas, así como varios consejos de seguridad. Tras subirse a los kayaks, se dirigieron río abajo hasta la desembocadura del Guadiaro, donde algunos incluso se bañaron, y luego volvieron hasta el punto de partida.

Kayak descents of Guadiaro river begin for students from all schools

Fifty students from IES Carlos Castilla del Pino were the first, this Tuesday, to carry out the descent of the Guadiaro river by kayak organised by the Council’s Department of Sport. The Guadiaro Recreational Area, located in San Enrique, served as the starting and finish point of the kayak descent of the river this

Tuesday, with the involvement of fifty First year Secondary Students from IES Carlos Castilla del Pino. The mayoral delegate for Sport and Education, Mónica Córdoba, accompanied them for the first part of an experience that these children really enjoyed.

The councillor explained that “the Council of San Roque continues to organise extracurricular activities with the schools in the municipality, in this case with schools and as part of the Nature and Sport Programme.

Today, we began with forty-five students from Carlos Castillo del Pino, but this week and next we have a packed schedule because all of the Secondary Schools have signed up.”

She added that “they told us that they were really looking forward to it and, accompanied by teachers and guides, I am sure that they are going to enjoy the activity, which I think is taking place for the first time. It is also very interesting because they will be able to discover the Guadiaro river from within” concluded Córdoba.

The students were accompanied by a total of ten adults, split between guides and

teachers, and an ambulance was on ground for any possible situation. In the recreational area, the children re-

ceived life vests and explanations about how to hold and move the paddles, as well as several safety tips.

After getting into the kayaks, they headed down the river to the mouth of the

Guadiaro, where some of them even sawm, and then they returned to the starting point.

Once again this year, the Circuito de Golf Sotogrande is back, this time at its eleventh edition, a tournament for enjoying first-rate courses, the best brands, an incredible atmosphere, unbeatable treatment for all players and gifts that surprise its attendees each season.

Según ha trascendido, está previsto que en las próximas

semanas se equipe al campo con instalaciones provisionales de casa club, vestuarios y zona de prácticas, de las que ahora carece, y que estarán operativas hasta que entren en marcha las instalaciones hoteleras que tienen previsto construir, con todo tipo de instalaciones y ‘amenities’ del máximo nivel.

En palabras de Carlos Roca, profesional de la gestión de campos de golf y parte del equipo gestor, “vamos a priorizar mantener el campo abierto para que los jugadores puedan seguir disfrutando del magnifico trazado de San Roque New, mientras vamos mejorando las condiciones del

campo de juego e incorporando instalaciones provisionales y servicios actualmente inexistentes”

En palabras de responsables de la empresa concesionaria el objetivo es construir un resort de golf de máximo nivel en la parcela de propiedad municipal, completando la oferta existente y consolidando a San Roque como el más importante destino de golf de Europa. Por su parte, el presidente de la PGA de España, Ander Martínez, sobre este nuevo proyecto, añade que “estamos seguros de que el magnífico campo de San Roque New, enclavado en el mundialmente conocido destino de golf Sotogrande, y de la mano del gran plantel de profesionales que integran al nuevo equipo gestor, va a suponer todo un éxito deportivo. Además, y como patrocinadores que son sus promotores de nuestro circuito PGAe, se nos abre una gran puerta para que podamos contar en breve con un campo tan icónico como sede de uno de nuestros torneos”.

El campo, resultado de un bellísimo diseño de Perry Dye con la colaboración de Seve Ballesteros, y que fue sede del Open de España en el año 2006, va a ser objeto de importantes obras de acondicionamiento y mejora.

According to Carlos Roca, a professional in golf course management and part of the management team, “we are going toprioritisekeepingthecourse open so that players can continue to enjoy the magnificent San Roque New course, while we improve the conditions of the course and add provisional facilities and services that

are not currently available”

According to the heads of the company awarded the tender, the aim is to build a first-rate gold resort on the plot owned by the municipality, completing the existing offer and consolidating San Roque as the most important golf destination in Europe.

In turn, the president of the Spanish PGA, Ander Martínex added, regarding the new project, that “we are certain that the magnificent San Roque New course, nestled in the globally renowned Sotogrande golf destination, and alongside the great line-up of professio-

nals who form the new management team, is going to be a real sporting success. Also, and as sponsors who are organisers of our PGAe circuit, a great door opens for us to soon have such an iconic course as the venue of one of our tournaments.”

The course, the result of a very beautiful design by Perry Dye with the collaboration of Seve Ballesteros, and which hosted the Spanish Open in 2006, is going to undergo significant refurbishment and improvement work.
