HBA of SC Pr esiden t 's M essage Lou ie Hopk in s, Hopk in s Bu ilder s On behalf of the HBA of South Carolina (HBASC), I welcome you to take a closer look at our fine state and see what our members have to offer.From the mountains to the beaches and the rich culture and Southern hospitality found in between, South Carolina is a great place to live, to work, and to play. The HBASC was chartered in 1963 and is a professional, non-profit association committed to promoting housing for people of all income levels and the production of quality homes. The HBASC believes that every South Carolinian deserves a safe and affordable place to live. The positive impact of attainable housing on all aspects of people?s lives, from educational opportunities to the well-being of children, has been proven in countless studies. The homes highlighted in this month?s magazine have been recognized as Pinnacle Awards by the HBASC, this award was created to honor those in the industry who have achieved the highest standard of quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.I want to congratulate them for their success and for giving South Carolina one more source of pride to celebrate.If you are looking to purchase your new home or remodel your existing home I ask that you check to ensure that the work is being done by a professional member of a local Home Builders Association (HBA) member.
