On behalf of the HBA of South Carolina (HBASC), I welcome you to take a closer look at our fine state and see what our members have to offer.From the mountains to the beaches and the rich culture and Southern hospitality found in between, South Carolina is a great place to live, to work, and to play.
The HBASCwas chartered in 1963 and is a professional, non-profit association committed to promoting housing for people of all income levels and the production of quality homes. The HBASCbelieves that every South Carolinian deserves a safe and affordable place to live. The positive impact of attainable housing on all aspects of people?s lives, from educational opportunities to the well-being of children, has been proven in countless studies.
The homes highlighted in this month?s magazine have been recognized as Pinnacle Awards by the HBASC. This award was created to honor those in the industry who have achieved the highest standard of quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.I want to congratulate them for their success and for giving South Carolina one more source of pride to celebrate.If you are looking to purchase your new home or remodel your existing home I ask that you check to ensure that the work is being done by a professional member of a local Home Builders Association (HBA) member.
Now on a personal note, I would like to say thank you to all of our members, builders, associates, affiliates and committee members for your continued support and dedication to our HBASCand our locals.Thank you to all of the staff that makes the day to day things happen for us all.To the membership, thank you all for allowing me to represent you as the president of this wonderful group this year.I cannot adequately express just how much our HBAs do for us and our industry. The information flow from and through the HBAs is amazing; the teamwork behind the scenes of which many may never hear about but is truly a foundational element of the HBA of SC. On a final thought, I believe every human being has the gift of Leadership - an ability to help others in their environment perform better by their efforts. As we head past 2024, I challenge us to show our leadership by supporting each other, keeping a positive eye to the future and always fighting for what is right. It's been both a privilege and an honor to serve you this year. God Bless you all!
