BIKEABILITY LEVEL 1

These courses get children enjoying cycling and give them the basic skills to develop into future on-road cyclists. l Sessions over two consecutive days.

Individual/Family Sessions

Gain confidence and learn the skills to ride as a family. A qualified instructor will teach you how to cycle with children using quiet routes and parks. These free sessions help you to get ready for, or improve on, Bikeability courses. l Two-hour sessions. Age 5+

LEARN TO RIDE

Off-road training aimed at younger children who want to learn to ride without stabilisers, or ‘wobblers’ who want to improve their balance when riding without stabilisers. l One hour session over two consecutive days

BIKEABILITY LEVEL 2

Bikeability level 2 teaches children to interact with real traffic, while keeping to quiet roads. Level 2 gives them the skills to make a trip safely on quiet roads and cycle lanes, and perhaps to school. l Course held over two consecutive days. Age 9+

GROUP LED BIKE RIDE An instructor-led ride designed to allow everyone to explore Havering by bicycle.

DR BIKE

Experienced cyclists and mechanics check everything on your bike, from wheels, brakes, gears and tyre pressure to lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more. By the end your bike will feel loved and cared for.

ADVANCED BIKE MAINTENANCE

This course provides more complex bike skills. Learn how to replace cables, adjust headsets, service hubs and replace a chain. l Three weekly sessions. Age 16+ (or 12+ if booked with a parent or guardian).

BEGINNER BIKE MAINTENANCE Learn how to keep a bike in good working order. Fix punctures, adjust brakes, index gears and lubricate chains. l Age 16+ (or 12+ if booked with a parent or guardian). Please see www. cycleconfident.com/haveringhubs for information and session times.
