This lovely lake, a relatively narrow 240acre impoundment of the Tallulah River, boasts a meandering shoreline that spans
approximately 13 miles. It has a rich history, dating back to 1926 when it was first dammed. Seed Lake is the second in the series of Georgia Power lakes, nestled downstream from the Burton Dam.
Access to Seed Lake is straightforward, with just one boat ramp on its north side. The lake is embraced by national forest land and Georgia Power property, giving it a secluded feel. The Seed Lake Association welcomes all property owners into its community.
