2021 FUND-A-GRANT CLASSROOM UPDATE & ENRICHMENT SUPPLY Expanding the classroom library and replacing “over-read” books; embellishing the play spaces with a wooden kitchen set or wood puzzles and learning toys; purchasing a new rug for circle time; or an up-todate interactive board and projector. How better to inspire students to create, imagine, wonder and learn than to provide updated supplies and refresh spaces to be in line with Harbor’s evolving curriculum and more environmentally friendly classroom supplies?! With your generosity making it possible, the addition of building supplies, read-aloud books, classroom storage and enhancements will provide students with the necessary tools in an ideal environment for exploration and learning.

EAST-SIDE ENTRANCE & PATIO MAKEOVER Harbor’s east-side entrance and patio, adjacent to the Preschool Playground, has long been in need of a makeover and, this year, we want to make that wish come true! Your contributions would make it a reality. Areas that would receive our TLC will include the surrounding fencing and gate and the entrance patio to the existing dining room (currently our 8th Grade classroom). An overhaul of the area will not only provide a safer and more secure area for students to play, explore, and develop friendships, but it will also create a safe and beautiful area for hosting small-scale events such as class picnics and meet-and-greets.

AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENTS Never has it been more evident, as it has over the course of the past year, how integral the role technology plays in the education of Harbor’s students.

The All School Meetings, Commencement, Grandfriends Day, and State of the School wouldn’t have been possible without the use of tablets, laptops, ‘gooseneck’ cameras and, of course, everyone’s favorite… ‘Zoom.’ We have learned that expanding and integrating technology for our events is here to stay as we anticipate many of our events being live-streamed even when COVID no longer limits our normal interactions. With your gift, Harbor will be able to enhance the audio-visual capabilities of our gymnasium for future all school meetings and to allow for more robust programs and larger audience attendance via event live-streams in the future.
