As noted in recent weeks, this year marks 25 years for Hacer And for those who missed it, here are some key statistics to reflect on:
We’ve completed over 440 projects for clients across diverse industries & sectors including Retail, Residential, Industrial, Medical and Mixed-Use, with 11 projects currently in progress.
693 Hacer employees have been involved in bringing these projects to life!
67 employees have clocked 10 years with Hacer
2 employees have clocked 20 years with Hacer
Our gender diversity targets have improved with representation of women shifting from 6% to 16.5%. And in 2024, Dani Verga delivered our first ever Hacer project led by a female
In the last FY, Hacer turned over $750m worth of work
There is still so much we want to continue achieving as a business, and we look forward to doing this with you.
A news article discusses current or recent news of either general interest (i.e. daily newspapers) or of a specific topic (i.e. political or trade news magazines, club newsletters, or technology news websites). A news article can include accounts of eyewitnesses to the happening event. It can contain photographs, accounts, statistics, graphs, recollections, interviews, polls, debates on the topic, etc. Headlines can be used to focus the reader’s attention on a particular (or main) part of the article The writer can also give facts and detailed information following answers to general questions like who, what, when, where, why and how. Quoted references can also be helpful. References to people can also be made through the written accounts of interviews and debates confirming the factuality of the writer’s information and the reliability of his source. The writer can use redirection to ensure that the reader keeps reading the article and to draw her attention to other articles. For example, phrases like "Continued on page 3” redirect the reader to a page where the article is continued.

Pete Clements – we don’t normally spotlight those who are leaving, but after 14.5 years with Hacer, Pete has decided to hang up the boots with us We have a lot to thank Pete for in terms of Hacers systems, accreditations, procedures and of course ensuring our safety is paramount. We wish Pete all the very best.
We kicked off the year with Feb Fast, and while many doubted it was possible, yes, Paul Toleman did complete the full 28-day challenge! For those who didn’t get on board, don’t worry we’ll be going again for Dry July, so stay tuned.
We also had a fantastic turnout at the Melbourne Corporate Triathlon, which never fails to deliver a fun-filled morning. Conditions were close to perfect, although our bike riders and runners had to push through a strong headwind, and our swimmers tackled some classic bay-sized waves! Thanks to Mark Lewis and Hayden Calway for throwing an apron on and feeding the troops on race day.
APRIL will be focused on fundraising efforts for the Good Friday Appeal. We encourage sites to fire up the BBQs on Thursday, 17 April, to support the cause. Plus, if you’re keen to take part in Run4TheKids, there’s still time to register! This is one of the fun runs Hacer reimburses, so sign up and join the VSB team, who are already locked in.
Thursday, 8 May. If you need the booking email, reach out to Annabella in EHS.

STAY ACTIVE, GET INVOLVED, AND LET’S KEEP MAKING 2025 A YEAR OF LIVING WELL!
The HGSC headed to the National Pickleball League in South Melbourne on 21st Feb for some beers, pizza and a hotly contested Pickleball tournament! There was no shortage of self confidence amongst the teams however for many that did not translate to having even the slightest hint of ability on the Pickleball court.
After 90 mins of hotly contested Pickleball we were left with 4 teams –Number 1 seeds Justin Cleaves & Dan Zammit who were up against Matt Love & Sienna Gittus, and Tim Petts & Matt Stiles (who was showing his versatility by rocking the work boots) up against Alex Joubert & PJ, who made the semi finals after some very contentious line calling.
It was to this point that everyone realised that Sienna had most likely played some decent level tennis before with the double handed backhand coming out and easily disposing of the top seeds Justin & Dan Despite some strong allegations of time wasting tactics in the other semi, the now Pickleball villains PJ & Alex made it through to face Matt & Sienna
In what can only be described as a meltdown to rival Jan Navotna at 1993 Wimbledon, PJ & Alex raced to an early 6 point lead before Sienna got serious and started unleashing an enormous forehand which the boys had no answer for and eventually buckled under the pressure as Sienna & Matt came away big winners.
It was a fantastic evening with a bit of exercise, beers, food and laughs for our first social club event for the year.
Our next event will be on Friday, 16th May at the Orrong Hotel for sit down dinner, drinks and footy on the big screen We have more exciting events planned for later in the year so don’t be afraid to jump on board and get around the social club – contact Matt Love
