DEAR DR. ROACH: About 12 years ago, I had a scan done to look for the cause of a problem that I was having for many months: pain in my abdomen and vomiting. (It turned out to be Barrett’s esophagus, which was found with a scope.) Fortunately for me, I read the report from the scan. The report said there was a spot on my kidney that ought to be checked in a year. I was very busy at the time, and my doctor retired, so I had to find another one. Five years went by, and one day during a routine visit with my doctor, I remembered the report and asked my new doctor for another scan. She said she couldn’t order a scan without a reason. I then told her about the report from five years ago, but she did a cursory look at my papers and said she could not find it. I asked her to keep looking. She looked again, found it, then ordered a scan.
This move saved my life. The scan showed something larger than before. I went to Johns Hopkins Hospital and met a very good doctor who told me there was an 80% chance that I had cancer, and we should forgo a biopsy and remove it. He did this, and the cancer was fully contained. I didn’t have to do chemotherapy.
It has now been five years with yearly scans and no problems in my kidney. Please encourage people to read their reports. -- F.B.
ANSWER: : Although doctors should read these carefully and act on them appropriately, important findings can be overlooked sometimes. You are absolutely right that you are your own best health advocate, and you did the right thing by bringing the finding up to your new doctor.

Serves 10 to 12
Amaretti Base
5 ounces amaretti
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
5 tablespoons sugar
Cardamom Truffle Filling
2 1/3 cups heavy cream
4 to 6 green cardamom pods, lightly bruised to open them
25 ounces dark chocolate
(60-70% cocoa solids), grated
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, cubed
4 tablespoons chocolate liqueur
Cardamom Cocoa Sugar
3 green cardamom pods
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 10-inch cake pan with a removable base, base and sides lined with nonstick parchment paper
To make the amaretti base, finely crush the amaretti in a food processor or put them in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Melt the butter and sugar in a pan over low heat, then stir in the amaretti crumbs. Press the mixture evenly over the base of the prepared cake pan and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
To make the cardamom truffle filling, put the cream and cardamom pods in a pan and heat until almost boiling. Remove from the heat and set aside to infuse for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, put the chocolate and butter in a saucepan. Strain the infused cream through a fine strainer onto the chocolate (the cream will be warm enough to melt the chocolate). If it doesn’t melt, warm over very low heat, stirring occasionally, but do not allow to boil. Stir in the liqueur, then set aside until almost cold, but not set. With an electric mixer, beat the chocolate mixture for a couple of minutes - this will give the cake a lovely airy texture. Pour onto the amaretti base. Let cool, then cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or up to 48 hours before serving.
To make the cardamom cocoa sugar, remove the black seeds from the papery cardamom pods and put the seeds in a spice grinder with the sugar and cocoa. Grind to a powder. Carefully remove the cake from the pan and peel off the lining paper. Set on a chilled serving plate and sift the cardamom cocoa sugar evenly over the top. Serve immediately, cut into very thin slices.
Broadening one’s horizons through crafting can be a worthwhile pursuit. Crafting can serve as a relaxing pastime and provide an opportunity to learn rewarding skills. Learning to crochet is one way for men and women to combine creativity and practicality. Crochet is a form of handwork using yarn and a crochet hook. According to the Crochet Guild of America, there’s no way to know just how old the art of crochet is. However, crochet expert Annie Potter has said the modern form of the art originated in the 16th century, primarily in France and England. Others surmise crocheting traces its origins to Arabia before it spread westward through various Mediterranean trade routes.

If you think that the only way to exercise and burn calories involves gym equipment, think again. Yard work can be just as challenging as a thorough aerobics workout at a nearby fitness club. To reap the greatest benefits, gardeners should use as little motorized machinery as possible. Manual tools will get you moving and can burn a substantial amount of calories. Try to vary positions and alternate which hands you use to reduce strain and get an even workout. Fitness experts say that gardening can improve strength, increase endurance and assist with flexibility. According to a report in the UK publication The Telegraph, clearing a pond or weeding can burn some 300 calories in an hour. Forty-five minutes worth of gardening can burn as many calories as 30 minutes of aerobics.

There are many different types of carpeting, some of which are best suited to certain situations. For example, plush and saxony carpets are better in low-traffic areas. These carpets may show footprints and also vacuum tracks and dirt, but they’re higher on the comfort spectrum than other types of carpet. Berber, which is more flat and dense, helps mask stains and tracks. It is durable in high-traffic areas. Textured carpets like frieze are cut from fibers of different heights, so they mask stains and are also softer on the feet than berber.
Grubs like to feast on the roots of grass right below the surface. Michigan State University ExtensionTurf & Landscape reports that grub damage can appear from March to early May or from mid-September to early November. The lawn and garden experts at GardenTech® note that wilted grass blades are often the first indicator of a grub infestation, which is followed by patches of brown turf and eventually death. Crows, skunks and moles eat grubs,so the sight of them in a lawn could indicate an infestation.
Cost: Conventional wisdom suggests it’s less expensive to do something yourselfthantohiresomeoneelsetodoitforyou, butthat’snotnecessarily true of home improvement projects. Labor costs typically account for a substantialamountofprofessionallycontractedprojects, buthomeowners can cut those costs by volunteering to do some of the simpler tasks themselves. In addition, contractors often purchase materials at a much lower cost than individual homeowners because contractors buy in bulk. So while labor costs might be lower on DIY projects, the cost of materials can offset those savings.
The Environmental Protection Agency says many bugs that resemble bed bugs. Identifying bed bugs correctly is a critical first step to treating an infestation. Herearesomeofthemorenotable attributes of bed bugs:
· Bed bugs are generally long and brown with a flat oval-shaped body around the size of an apple seed. Bed bugs that have recently fed will be balloon-like and reddish-brown in color.
· Young bed bugs (nymphs) are smaller, and their color is a translucent white-yellow.
· Bed bug eggs are pearl-white in color and the size of a pinhead.
· Bed bugs have six legs and two antennae and they cannot fly. They cannot jump long distances, instead moving by crawling and climbing. They can climb heights and drop down from above onto beds to find a meal.
Orkin of Canada says that, since bed bugs are nocturnal and small, detecting them can be challenging. Usually blood stains on sheets or black spots of dried bed bug excrement indicate an infestation even before bugs are seen.
Bed bugs tend to be discovered in the seams of chairs and couches, betweencushions, andinthefolds of curtains. Bed bugs may hide in drawer joints or in electrical receptacles. They even can hide in cracks along the top or bottom of a wall.
Bed bugs can survive and remain active at temperatures as low as 46 F, advises the EPA. Heat is what kills them most readily, and a room or area must be hotter than 113 F consistently to do so.
Avoiding bed bugs requires diligence. Reducing clutter, inspecting secondhand furniture for bed bugs and vacuuming frequently can help. Check luggage racks and hotel rooms for bed bugs prior to remaining in the room. Cold and hot treatments may kill some of the bed bugs, but an infestation usually will require treatment by a professional exterminator.

Many beloved dishes might be enjoyed more often if they were only a little healthier. Author and former personal chef Michelle Dudash was once asked by a client if the she could make a healthier version of chicken parmesan. The result of that request is the following recipe for “Skinny Chicken Parmesan with Spinach,” which Dudash ultimately included in her book, “Clean Eating For Busy Families” (Fair Winds). The recipe was a hit with Dudash’s client and will surely be a hit at home cooks’ dinner tables as well.
WEEK OF APRIL 28, 2025
What to watch & where to watch it:
Skinny Chicken Parmesan with Spinach
Makes 6 servings
For the sauce:
2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1 28-ounce can whole tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
2 pinches salt
2 pinches freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon honey
For the chicken:
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons whole-wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
11/2 pounds chicken breast, cut into 6 pieces, pounded to 1/4 inch
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
4 cups baby spinach
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into 6 medallions (or shredded)
6 cups cooked whole-grain thin spaghetti tossed in 2 teaspoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 375 F and coat the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with olive oil spray.
To make the sauce: Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add oil and garlic and cook gently for 30 seconds. Do not brown. With your hand, squeeze each tomato into the pan and add basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and honey. Reduce to medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes, lowering the heat as needed.
To make the chicken: Combine parmesan cheese, flour, salt, pepper, and basil in a medium dish and coach chicken with cheese mixture. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil. When oil is shimmering, add chicken, rounded-side down, and cook until golden on one side, about 5 minutes. Arrange chicken in a baking pan. Pour remaining 2 teaspoons of oil into skillet and add spinach. Cook spinach for 1 to 2 minutes until wilted and swirl in lemon juice. Gently press spinach to release water and divide spinach on top of chicken. Spoon sauce around and over the chicken, place mozzarella on top, and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Bake for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Serve over spaghetti.

As your lawn starts its spring growth, watch for brown patches that never turn green. Dead patches could be caused by grubs feeding on the roots in the fall. Dig up square-foot sections of sod to a depth of about two inches in several areas in your yard. Next, examine the soil for short, fat, whitish Cshaped worms. If you find 10 or more grubs per square foot you should treat your lawn. To treat 1,000 square feet of grass, dilute two tablespoons of liquid dish soap in a gallon of water and spray it on the lawn, preferably immediately after a rainfall. This will cause the grubs to come to the surface, where you can collect them if the birds don’t do the job for you. Repeat the treatment weekly until the grubs stop surfacing.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS: WHY IT PAYS TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULBS IN PAIRS
Why replace aging headlight bulbs?
Few drivers include headlight bulb replacement in their vehicle maintenance routines. But old headlight bulbs can drastically compromise visibility at night, when drivers’ visual acuity is naturally reduced by as much as 70 percent. As headlight bulbs age, the effects of exposure to sunlight, ozone and pollution can significantly reduce their light output. According to Philips Automotive, a leading manufacturer of vehicle lighting components, headlight bulbs begin to project significantly less light within two to three years of their initial usage, producing dimmer light outputs that compromise the safety of drivers and their passengers. For example, new headlight bulbs capable of projecting 240-foot beams in front of a vehicle may see that projection dwindle to just 160 feet within two to three years.
Road trips hold a special place in many people’s hearts. The open road and the freedoms it represents have been romanticized by writers and travelers since automobiles became accessible to the masses. While many drivers still take to the road looking for adventure, road trips have changed considerably since Jack Kerouac penned his seminal novel “On the Road” in the 1950s. The spirit of the open road is still there, but the way travelers approach road trips has changed considerably, most notably with regard to the technology that motorists now take along for the ride. Drivers about to embark on a road trip, whether it’s their first such venture or their fiftieth, can make trips even more enjoyable by taking along the right tech.

Embrace healthy behaviors. During the pandemic, many individuals, even those devoted to healthy living prior to 2020, found it difficult to continue engaging in behaviors and activities that promoted their overall health. Embracing these behaviors, which can include eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly and getting sufficient sleep, improves individuals’ ability to cope with stress. Re-establishing old routines also can return a sense of structure to daily life that might have gone missing over the last two years.
Research shows that when we give to others, we also contribute to our own happiness, health and well-being. Scientists have identified something known as the “helper’s high” to describe the positive emotions that follow acts of helpfulness toward others. Research also associates improved health and longevity with this psychological state, according to the National Library of Medicine.

No act of kindness is too small. e gi of kindness may start as a small ripple that over time can turn into a tidal wave affecting the lives of many.
-
Kevin Heath, CEO of More4Kids
Similar to the ripples that result from a pebble being dropped into water, studies show that our words and actions also have a “ripple effect” that can be either positive or negative. So why not create a ripple effect of kindness, helpfulness and happiness?
• Smile at somebody and say hello.
• Pay somebody a sincere compliment.

• Drop a greeting card or small gift in the mail to brighten someone’s day.
• Share a nice comment or compliment on somebody’s social media post.

James “Jim” F. Guilford
April 21, 2025
Livonia: At age 87, Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Born on October 13, 1937, in Rochester, NY, to the late Lawrence and Edna (Hunt) Guilford. In addition to his parents, Jim is predeceased by his wife, Sondra (Appleby); his daughter, Valerie Farr; and his granddaughters, Emily Guilford and Arika Farr. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Meyer, Jamie (Timothy) Calway, and Timothy (Dawn) Guilford; his sister, Harriet Hurlburt; his 10 grandchildren, along with his 16 great-grandchildren, and many friends. Jim started his professional career with a degree from RIT in Graphic Design, working for Zippo Lighter and Bob Wright Studios. He then found his niche in carpentry, which allowed him to pass on his expertise to family and friends. Jim led a very storied life that included his children and grandchildren. His love for music, art, and adventurous travels filled his life. One of his favorite pastimes was telling stories that always started with “let me tell ya a little something.” Jim was always one to find a friend in every crowd, which fostered many friendships along his path. He will be dearly missed by all.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10AM – 12PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia, where Jim’s funeral service will immediately follow at 12PM. Interment will take place privately at Oak Ridge Cemetery on Coe Road in Livonia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Wilmont Cancer Center, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627 or Livingston County Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, 11 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, NY 14510.

Backyards have become valuable spaces that enhance both home value and quality of life. Features like outdoor kitchens, TVs, and showers can increase a home’s market value by 3.1%, but the real benefits come from creating a peaceful retreat. To start, refresh the landscape by trimming overgrown trees and hedges to improve flow, and aim for a balance of sun and shade. Consider adding multiple gathering areas, such as an outdoor kitchen and a quiet reading nook, for versatility.
For added relaxation, include a water feature like a fountain or hot tub, which helps calm the mind. Ensure comfort with shaded areas—install pergolas, umbrellas, or plant shade trees to protect from the sun. With these quick tips, you can create a functional, peaceful backyard retreat that everyone will enjoy.

It seems that there’s one recall after the other lately, mostly for our foods. To stay safe with what we eat, we need to keep an eye on those recalls. Some of them have been scarily bizarre. The latest ones include pieces of plastic in sausages, wood in frozen meals, stones in chocolate bars, botulism in juice and tree nuts in cheesecake.
Then there are the undeclared allergens, like the milk that was in tortilla chips and chicken salad, which can affect people who have a dairy allergy.
And we have the hot sauce with undeclared sulfites, which can seriously affect people who have an allergy to sulfites.
Then, in a potentially very dangerous mistake for those with heart and blood pressure problems, ground coffee was labeled as decaffeinated when it actually had caffeine.
And when you thought you’d recover from an illness with some over-thecounter help, we had a cough and cold medication recalled for being contaminated.
Humans aren’t the only ones to be affected by the wrong ingredients in our foods. A recent recall was for a dog snack that was contaminated with salmonella.
Nobody likes extra email to wade through, but in the case of recalls, we really do need to pay attention.
Signing up for email notifications is the best thing we can do right now, especially with the increase in the number of recalls. Go to www.recalls.gov/ food.html, www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls and www.foodsafety.gov to sign up for email alerts. Or if you really don’t want extra emails in your inbox, make a point of going to those sites once a week and scrolling through the list of new recalls.
Even if you think you probably don’t have a recalled item, if you’ve ever bought it in the past, check your freezer and cabinets. That item might still be there.

Long nails can be painful for dogs. The experts in holistic care at Dogs Naturally Magazine say that long nails that will come in contact with hard ground can push back up into the nail bed and cause discomfort. Long nails also may cause the toes to twist. Most dogs require their nails be trimmed every two weeks. This time period may be extended if the dog goes for long walks frequently.
What is pet fostering? Fostering a companion animal is an agreement by an individual to care for a needy pet in his or her private residence until the animal is placed in a permanent new home. Many times shelters will ask foster parents to step up and house puppies to provide early socialization and training to acclimate these young animals to living in homes.

DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I adopted a beautiful pup at about 3 months old this winter. Now that the weather is warming up and “Blondie” is about 6 months old, I can’t wait to start going on hikes with her. How far can a puppy that age walk? Do you have any safety tips? – Carl J., via email
DEAR CARL: Blondie sounds like an amazing pup! With the correct training, she will eventually be able to accompany you on some hikes – but not this season.
Puppies at 6 months of age should only take limited walks, ranging from five to 10 minutes max, on level ground. Don’t take them farther – pushing them too soon can cause a host of physical problems because their growth plates haven’t fused.
Most experts recommend lengthening walks gradually starting from about 9 months. For longer distances over uneven ground, and when training dogs to carry their own panniers, wait until they are 12 to 18 months old.
So, you won’t be able to take Blondie with you on day hikes this year – unless you carry her. There are special “sport sacks” just for carrying small- to medium-size dogs. Think of it as a fitness challenge for you, and a way for your pup to learn to love the outdoors.
In the meantime, you can work on Blondie’s obedience training. It’s critical that she respond immediately when you call her, especially out on hikes. She should also be well socialized to people and other dogs – this prevents a lot of grief on the trail. Right now is the perfect time to do that, and to bond with your dog so that you have fun whether you’re outdoors or not.

[A couple months ago] my vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road while I was stopped at a signal light. Because my focus was on the red light I did not see the vehicle coming toward me going thru the red light and was blindsided at the impact, with the car then continuing on to collide head on with a 3rd vehicle. She was kind enough to follow this vehicle for quite a distance knowing it would cause an accident and to speak with me and the police as a witness. I am extremely grateful for the time she spent to set the record straight in which some explanations as to who is at fault or what actually happened can be twisted around by some insurance companies.
On a recent visit to my parent’s grave to place an Easter wreath, I was saddened to see so many dead X-mas wreaths and plants still on graves in April. We’re blessed to be able to leave flowers, flags and objects as some cemeteries don’t allow it at all. People need to be more considerate and respectful of the deceased and their families and remove the dead plants in a timely manner or replace any faded artificial flowers and flags. The presence of litter detracts from the peaceful and solemn atmosphere of the cemetery.

DR. TEMPLE GRANDIN WITH “ANT AUNT” SUSAN HERRNSTEIN’S FAMILY AT THE AUTISM NATURE TRAIL
e ANT Alliance, Inc. welcomed Dr. Temple Grandin to Letchworth State Park on March 28th for her first visit to e Autism Nature Trail ( e ANT). Dr. Grandin was the initial expert resource contacted in 2014 by the late Susan Herrnstein of Silver Lake and Loren Penman of Batavia about the idea of creating a nature trail specifically designed for persons with autism spectrum disorder.
ey described Letchworth’s setting, with the moving water of the Genesee River and the abundance of pine forests, and relayed stories they were gathering that told of amplified calming effects for many visitors, especially those with autism.
Dr. Grandin, who is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University and world-renowned autism advocate, was intrigued by the concept. She called Penman and identified seven parameters for developing such a trail, including its location, design, safety considerations, amenities, and staffing. Herrnstein and Penman never strayed from these parameters as they forged ahead.
What followed over the next seven years was planning, fundraising, designing, building, equipping, staffing and endowing e Autism Nature Trail ( e ANT) at Letchworth State Park. e Autism Nature Trail ( e ANT) is a one-mile ADA-compliant loop with eight interactive stations located in Letchworth State Park, closest to the Castile entrance, and less than five minutes inside the Park.
“Her positive reaction means the world to all of us who put our hearts and souls into the Trail.”
SERVENTI, ANT ALLIANCE CHAIRPERSON
Gail Serventi, a retired speech and language pathologist with a background in working with autistic children, joined Herrnstein and Penman, and the three became known as e ANT Aunts.
As the project progressed over the years, the Ants kept Dr. Grandin apprised of the Trail’s progress. Penman and Serventi were able to show her in person the schematic design produced by Perry’s in.site: architecture before construction drawings were dra ed. Regular emails and an occasional phone call kept Grandin in the loop right up until e ANT’s opening to the public on October 1, 2021. Although invited to both the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies, COVID made Grandin’s attendance problematic. Sadly, Herrnstein, who passed away several weeks before the Trail’s ribbon cutting, never got to meet Grandin.
When Penman went to hear Grandin speak in Syracuse in 2023, she took photos of the completed project and again invited her to visit Letchworth and the Trail. “I’ll get there in 2025,” said Grandin, who still was making up postponed speaking engagements post-pandemic.
March 2025, Grandin was able to visit e ANT and learn how her very specific advice was incorporated into the Trail’s design and operation. “You’ve done a great thing,” she told Penman and Serventi. “Now you have to maintain it.” She emphasized the importance of upkeep, especially since e ANT is not part of the New York State budget. Grandin commented that she thinks more projects of this magnitude will have to come from local efforts.
“Having her understand how much we have taken her advice to heart was really satisfying,” says Serventi, who now chairs the allvolunteer Board, ANT Alliance, the non-profit established to provide stewardship and oversight for the Trail. “Her positive reaction means the world to all of us who put our hearts and souls into the Trail.”

LEFT ANT ALLIANCE CHAIR GAIL SERVENTI AND VICE CHAIR LOREN PENMAN WITH DR. GRANDIN IN THE PERRY HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY
“Susan strongly believed in the adage, ‘Nothing about us without us,’” said Penman, referring to the importance of incorporating advice from persons on the spectrum in developing the Trail. Herrnstein’s two sons and eldest grandchild were part of a small group that met with Grandin at e ANT.
Grandin also spoke informally with Penman, Serventi and several others in the library at Perry High School prior to a public talk on livestock behavior, production, and product quality which was arranged by the Wyoming County Cooperative Extension.
All persons are welcome to visit and enjoy e ANT any time that the Park is open.

The term “corsage” was once a reference to the bodice of a woman’s dress. The first corsages were actually worn on the bodice, which is the part of a woman’s dress that is above the waist, and some believed the corsage could ward off evil spirits. According to PollenFloralDesign.com, by the 1900s, corsages were worn closer to the shoulder than the bodice. At this time, the flowers were pinned on upside down, with the bow at the top. The corsages were also larger at this time than they are today. The tradition of giving corsages to young ladies on their prom nights is relatively recent. In fact, many historians agree that this practice likely began in the 20th century in the United States when gentlemen would typically arrive to pick up their prom dates bearing bouquets of flowers for their dates’ parents. The young men would then remove one flower from the bouquet and attach it to their dates’ dress.

Serves 8
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled, plus 1 tablespoon at room temperature for the pan
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 bananas
3/4 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11/2 cups unbleached all-purpose
flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Butter a 9-inch round cake pan with the 1 tablespoon room temperature butteranddustwiththegranulated sugar and tip out any excess.
Place the bananas on a small rimmed baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool.
In a small bowl, combine the pecans, brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and nutmeg through a fine-mesh strainer into a medium bowl.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together the butter and sugar on low speed until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula, then add the roasted bananas, sour cream and vanilla. Beat until incorporated.
With the mixer running on low speed, spoon in the flour mixture and mix until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
