HOLIDAY OBSERVANCE: EASTER

To commemorate the Easter holiday, GYSBI hosted an Easter Hat Competition which received nine (9) entries.

Gregory Mettelholzer from our Operations Department copped the first prize for his creative entry which he described as a representation of GYSBI’s bright future and uncompromising safety culture.

Waynace Forde from our QHSSE Department walked away with the second prize for her sustainable piece made from egg trays.

Marcelious Hector also from our Operations Department took home the third prize for his creation, which were made from cups, safety helmet and paper. The cups, he explained, symbolize a new GYSBI employee who joined the team without the necessary expertise and experience, but with the provision of training and survival tools the employee succeeds. Furthermore, the helmet represents a fundamental element of our safety culture.
