TO CAPTURE THE OPPORTUNITIES PRESENTED, THE CITY OF COCONUT CREEK HAS EMBARKED ON VISIONING AND STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS ENTITLED VISION 2030
PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE IN cOCONUT cREEK
As our community continues to expand economically and with an increasingly diverse multicultural population our needs and desires evolve. To capture the opportunities presented, the City of Coconut Creek has embarked on visioning and strategic planning process entitled Vision 2030. Paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this process is now back in full swing.
Retaining and enhancing what makes Coconut Creek “special” while preparing for the future is the mission. Generating new ideas and discussion about the built environment, sustainability, sense of place and the City’s overall identity is why we are bringing this effort forward. Working collaboratively with residents, stakeholders, commission members, and staff will help us create a strategy for the future of Coconut Creek. A framework that encourages diversity, equity and inclusivity will ensure we get a comprehensive view of the future desired
by our populous. The City has retained the services of SBrand Consulting, an expert in local government strategic planning to assure the vision is captured in the document and feasible. The Vision 2030 Plan will be used as we develop future budgets and to prioritize programs and facilities offered by the City. The Implementation Plan will have consensus based action steps tied to measurable outcomes. We are seeking input from as many of our community members as possible - residents and businesses alike - and will be sending out notices of upcoming Vision 2030 meetings through our website at www.CoconutCreek.net and through social media.
