Technology, the internet, and now social media have revolutionized how business is done. People crave more information, more content, and more connection with how objects and concepts are made and executed. Clients want to connect with the culture behind the work. With that NEED in mind, Guimar Urbina created the concept space: I AM AN INFLUENCER. The space shifts and alters to keep up with the need to create fresh, ever-changing digital content. BOLD DESIGN
An octagonal entrance sets the tone for this bold office design. The open floor plan has two distinctive spaces that flow seamlessly into each other. Fully furnished by Anima Domus, the spaces come together with one coherent language through Urbina’s progessive vision. To the left, a stylish office that utilizes Phillipe Starck’s eye-catching Lou Read chair as a focal point–with it’s prominent high-back it sits almost like a contemporary “throne”. The curving shape of the “Fl@t” chairs and geometric base of the Skorpio table provide the space with a sleek contemporary look. Bringing everything together is the incredibly unique and smart use of moving panels covered in wallpaper from the new Guimar Urbina Collection by The Wallpaper Company.
VERSATILE SPACES To the right of the entrance is an incredibly dynamic lounge area that is perfect for informal or creative meetings. It boasts two large Belair chairs by Leonardo Dainelli that are remarkably comfortable, two easy-to-move wooden Tokii stools, and a set of leather Sugar and Bruce stools that offer some hidden storage! The Phantom mirror and Superloon light act as amazing accent pieces for this creative space!
SAME SPACE. DIFFERENT FEEL.
The turning wallpaper columns completely transform the feel and overall vibe of the room. As seen in this image, there is so much warmth and richness added by the fabrics placed on the Sketch coat hangers and the light and soft tones of the panels behind them.
The same exact space with the panels turned over 180° and the Sketches without anything hanging on them, allows for a completely different aesthetic. The bronze tones mixed with the exposed wood give the space an earthy feel.
Easy To Move The strategic use of stools gives the lounge space an added layer of versatility. Move the stools and create different settings as you need.

Guimar Urbina, one of the most outstanding contemporary Interior Designers in South Florida with over 12 years of experience, not only across the United States, but also internationally, where she had the opportunity to expand her career by completing projects in Europe, Central and Latin America. Her most recent international work took place in Brussels, Belgium, where she was chosen as one of the top 10 international designers of the year. She was invited by founder Fleur Rossdale to participate at the 2019 International Interior Design Exhibition Show. With 30,000 visitors from around the world each year, this show is intended to contribute to the innovative alliance of design with fine art at the highest level, featuring the top 10 Belgian and international interior designers and welcoming many famous artists and designers since the early 80s. “The space was designed to invite the new and broad world of influencers/bloggers that despite having the privilege of working with their smartphones anywhere, most of the time still need a space to organize their ideas, develop projects, promote products, brands or trends. My design offers an elegant, modern, innovative and interactive space where these entrepreneurs can schedule meetings or create valuable content to boost the popularity of their personal image using a wide variety of backgrounds and scenes available as sets. These backgrounds will be exhibited as diverse options mounted on rotating panels and wrapped in wallpaper so influencers can choose their favorite options based on their tastes and preferences to finally take pictures in the most unique creative way.� - Guimar Urbina

Guimar was provided with the two biggest spaces of Hotel de la Poste to be designed for a 30-year-old single man living in a luxury apartment in New York. In 2018, the designer had one year ahead to plan and prepare the space, which she had to visit personally to make important decisions like, color palettes, look, feel, division of the space, and sponsors to provide custom made curtains, furniture and other essential decoration elements. On September 5th , 2019 Guimar traveled for the second time to Brussels for her exhibition opening that turned out a complete success. In 2108, she was invited as a star designer to collaborate at the Home Design & Remodeling Show in Miami with a celebrity-dedicated vignette. In addition, her projects were featured in HGTV.

Guimar Urbina is a Venezuelan living in Miami for 20 years now. She graduated at the Miami Art Institute, where she was awarded a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design. In addition, she attended the International Fine Arts College and obtained an Associate of Arts in Fashion Merchandising. She opened her own interior design firm, KIS Interior Design in 2009 specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. In 2017, she revamped the company into Guimar Urbina Interiors to reflect her evolution in style and on the market.
