The Tallahassee Way back in the summer of 2016, we launched what would become the iconic, 100% organic cotton jersey dress of your dreams, and yes, your prayers have been answered, this dress has pockets! Our Tallahassee dress is a year on year favourite. It is practical, stylish and can be worn no matter the weather.
Our design director Beth shares the tale that ended in the creation of the perfect day dress.

I was packing for a trip to Tallahassee in Florida. It was going to be hot and as a sun worshipper I was excited to soak up some vitamin D. Packing however was not going well. My bed had been submerged by a sea of clothes. I’m organised when I pack, I knew I needed outfits that were perfect for exploring Cascades park, visiting Lake Overstreet, going out for dinner, going to museums, shopping… essentially, I was trying to cram most of my summer wardrobe in my case. When I was back at work, this experience kept nagging at me. I wish I’d had something comfortable, completely versatile, and vibrant, generally to complement my lifestyle. Sunny days makes me think of day dresses and cooling organic cotton is the perfect fabric for warmer weather. Comfort is key to all our designs, so the shape is designed to flatter and the soft fabric will make it feel like a favourite from day one. Prints require minimal accessorising, so in my opinion, they’re always a winner. I can complete the outfit by adding a pump or sandal and a block colour bag. For the Spring and Summer, prints are the perfect way to add a vibrant pop of colour.’
