This month we will be launching the Land off Perry Street, South Chard onto the market. The site has outline planning permission for 95no. dwellings, together with associated infrastructure works. We have also launched 8.24-hectares (20.36acres) of employment land allocated for a mix of B1, B2 and B8 (now Class E) at Somerset Bridge, Bridgwater onto the market last month.
The Government has introduced major changes to the Class Q permitted development right, which allows for the conversion of agricultural buildings to dwellings. The amended legislation will come into effect on the 21st May 2024.

Almost half-way through 2024, the Greenslade Taylor Hunt New Homes Department has enjoyed a year of growth and progress as Owen approaches his first anniversary in his role as Head of the Department. Changes in systems and processes have allowed for improvements to our reporting to the Developers that we work with, improvements to our marketing and a growing synergy between GTH New Homes and GTH’s Residential Sales Offices.
Despite a slowing marketing across 2023, Greenslade Taylor Hunt New Homes were able to assist developers on almost 200-sales, a significant increase year-on-year.
Q1 of 2024 has also allowed us to enter a new territory, with Residential Offices opening in Redhill and Ivybridge, allowing us to offer our first class service to developers building south of Bristol and in South Hams.
New Sites in Taunton, Bideford and Chard have all been met with great demand in recent months, along with renewed interest in a number of other sites as we approach the lighter sunnier months.
