Summer Tai Chi ClaSS TueSdayS and ThurSdayS 12-1:30 Pm
Come celebrate Niibin (It is Summer) with the Heritage Library. Librarian Francis Carew will host a series of events in honor of the occasion. The events promote literacy in children, children’s health and wellbeing, and the joy of learning to play a musical instrument. They are free, open to the public, and all ages are welcome.

Summer Music Lessons: Guitar, Bass, Piano, and Voice Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, 2-5 pm
Lessons by appointment only-You must Sign up for a weekly 30-minute time slot. Guitar and Bass students bring your own instruments. Piano students, the Library has a piano for lessons.

Kids Wing Chun Kung Fu Class: At the Heritage Library July 21, 6-7pm
Target Ages 7-15 but all ages are welcome to join. No uniform required. Wear loose, comfortable, clothing and sneakers. Snacks provided/create your own snack.
Come enjoy the relaxing art of Tai Chi with Librarian Francis Carew. Francis teaches Yang style Tai Chi, a low impact exercise that improves cardiorespiratory function, hypertension (high blood pressure), muscular strength, balance, mobility, flexibility, and mind-body awareness. This class promotes health and wellbeing. It is free, open to the public, and all ages are welcome. Class starts June 1 and will be held outside the GTB Heritage Library: 2821 N West Bay Shore Dr. Peshawbestown, MI 49682. Social Distancing is required to participate until further notice. This event is hosted by the GTB Heritage Library, GTB Lifelong Learning, and IMLS. Storytime: Peshawbestown Powwow Grounds July 28, 6-7pm
Rabbit and Bear Paws Sacred 7 Series: Honesty-Gwekwaadiziwin, Humility-Dibaadendizowin, Truth-Debwewin. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and relax. Snacks provided/create your own snack. All events are hosted by the GTB Heritage Library, GTB Lifelong Learning, and IMLS.
