Tribal Council Welcomes Traverse City Officials

On October 28th GTB Tribal Council met with Traverse City Mayor, Manager, and Commissioners at Eyaawing Museum. The Traverse City officials were greeted with a drum ceremony from the native youth and treated to some Indigenous Cultural History. Jim Carruthers, the Mayor of Traverse City, presented the Grand Traverse Band with the “Key to the City” for our ongoing contributions to the community. This was accepted by Tribal Chairman McClellan. - More photos on page 16.
