Providing safe and fun Halloween events

GTB Government Departments held several “drive-through” Halloween events for families the week leading up to Halloween. The community was invited to receive pumpkins & goody bags at all GTB satellite offices. Costumes were encouraged, face masks and social distancing were required. As events such as these become the new norm, we must grow accustom to maintaining the spirit of the season while still being able to keep the community safe and Healthy. It’s important for everyone to remain vigilant as we endure these increasing numbers each day. Anishinaabemowin Program Morning Prayer Drawing The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians Anishinaabemowin Program will be having a month draw. All you have to do is say the Kizheb Namewaanhs (Morning Prayer) listed here in Anishinaabemowin. Please call 231-534-7252 and leave the prayer as a message on my office phone at anytime up until Monday November 30th. The Anishinaabemowin team will select the best recording. Please make sure to say your name before you start your recording. Three winners will be selected and each will be awarded a GTB sweatshirt hoodie. Monthly prizes will be given from now till summer 2021 and the final grand prize will be a GTB Pendleton blanket. If you need more information, please contact the Anishinaabemowin Program.
