Greensboro Country Club
November | December 2025
COO/General Manager's Message

Dear Members,
The holiday season is upon us, and Greensboro Country Club is ready to celebrate with traditions, gatherings and experiences that bring our community together. From November through December, the Club will be filled with opportunities to share the joy of the season with family and friends.
We begin with our annual Holiday Market on Tuesday, November 11, the perfect way to kick off the festivities. Browse unique gifts while enjoying wine, cheese and charcuterie tastings. The Golf and Racquets teams will be on hand with great gift ideas, while Fitness will offer discounted gift certificates and packages for training and massages. Our "Wine Store" will also host tastings and provide the chance to stock your cellar with favorite bottles. More than just shopping, the Holiday Market is a festive evening designed to start your holiday season in style.
On Thanksgiving Day, join us at both Irving Park and the Farm for a festive buffet featuring seasonal favorites. If you prefer to celebrate at home, pre-order from our Thanksgiving take-out menu to enjoy a traditional feast without the preparation. Whichever way you gather, we are honored to be part of your holiday tradition.
December brings events especially loved by families. On Saturday, December 6, Santa Claus returns for our cherished Breakfast with Santa, a morning filled with joy and holiday spirit. The next day, Sunday, December 7, Mrs. Claus joins us for a festive Brunch at Irving Park. Both events are Member favorites that create magical memories year after year.
The season’s highlight for many is the annual Holiday Gala on Saturday, December 13. On this black tie evening, the entire Clubhouse transforms into a grand celebration with elaborate food stations— including freshly prepared sushi and sashimi—and live music by "Universal Crush" that will keep you dancing all night. As the evening winds down, enjoy latenight snacks and an after party in the 1909 with a DJ
to carry the celebration into the early hours. It is an unforgettable night and one of the Club’s most treasured traditions.
While these signature events are the centerpiece of the season, they are only part of what the Club has to offer. From festive dining to casual gatherings, December is full of ways to celebrate, connect and create memories. Be sure to check the weekly updates and Club calendar so you don’t miss a moment.
As we embrace this season of gratitude, we are especially mindful of the dedicated team who make Greensboro Country Club such a special place. Each year, the Holiday Fund provides an opportunity for Members to show their appreciation for our staff in a meaningful way. Many of our employees count on this fund to make their own holidays brighter, and your generosity has a direct impact on their ability to celebrate with their families. We cannot overstate the importance of this tradition—it is one of the ways we, as a community, come together to recognize and thank those whose hard work and commitment ensure the quality of your Club experience all year long.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to making Greensboro Country Club a place where you feel at home, where traditions are honored, and where new memories are made. Your feedback, whether shared in surveys, conversations or emails, continues to guide us as we strive to enhance the experience for all Members. We encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts with us, as your voice is vital in shaping the future of the Club.
As the holiday season unfolds, may your days be filled with joy, peace and moments of togetherness. We look forward to celebrating with you, honoring traditions and creating new memories that will last for years to come. From our family to yours, we wish you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Friedrich Eder, CCM, CCE Chief Operating Officer/General Manager

Membership Message
It has been so nice to have you join us for so many fall events! The season kicked off perfectly with the Concert on the Range featuring Camel City Yacht Club. This was a night we will not soon forget! Smooth tunes sailing into the beautiful sunset created a beautiful way for an evening of music, laughter and connection. Pumpkin painting is a tradition that brought out everyone’s creativity once again, and it was the perfect way to gear up for the muchanticipated ultimate Halloween Hayride. Whether you chose the family-friendly ride or braved the dark and spooky version, we hope it is yet another GCC memory that you carry with you as we head into the busy Holiday season.
A special "thank you" to those who attended the 1909 Club Fall Reception! We are so glad to see you enjoying the updated ballroom space and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming 1909 Club Holiday Celebration on Thursday, December 4! We know you will be excited for what is in store for the evening. Your invitation will arrive soon, so be sure to sign up on the website, mobile app or call the receptionist.
Thank you for your continued support of Membership efforts at GCC. Your personal referrals are the way we grow. If there’s someone in your life who would enjoy the exceptional amenities, engaging programs and lasting friendships found here, we would be honored to welcome them for a visit during this busy season. We can’t wait to make this a season to remember for both you and your guests!

Sea Smoke
Wednesday, November 12 | 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Sea Smoke’s approach to winemaking is highly intuitive. Every wine is made as a barrel selection; throughout fermentation and aging, they keep each block and clone combination as separate lots. Their approach provides a deep understanding of the characteristics of every block and yields an array of flavors and characteristics that their winemaker draws upon during blending, ensuring that each of their wines displays a consistent character profile. Sea Smoke’s portfolio is comprised of a collection of elegant, expressive and beautifully complex wines with an inherent structure that will reward long-term aging.
If you have any questions or if you would like to become a member of the Wine Society, please contact our Beverage manager, Aaron Aadland at a.aadland@greensborocc.org. Cheers!

Veterans Day is Tuesday, November 11!
Veterans are invited to enjoy one complimentary meal at the Irving Park 1909 or the Farm to thank you for your past and current service.
