Celebrating

Hi everyone!

Gravity’s Human Resources department, in collaboration with leadership, strives to create a culture that is healthy and positive. People spend most of their waking hours at work, so we want work to be a place where our people feel valued. We understand when employees feel a sense of belonging, they’re much more likely to demonstrate their commitment to helping the company achieve its business goals. Taking care of our employees and creating positive employee experiences is a win-win for everyone.

One way we hope to take care of our employees in 2023 is through effective two-way communication. So, this month we’re rolling out an Employee Engagement Survey to ensure your voice is being heard.

p4

On March 8th, all employees will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the survey. It will be completely anonymous and only take a few minutes to complete, but it’s an opportunity for our employees to tell us which factors drive them to perform their best, and to measure the connection our employees have toward their work, team, and the company in general. We’re hoping everyone will participate, so please encourage your teams and colleagues to complete the survey before the March 15th deadline.

As a token of our appreciation, each employee will have the opportunity to register to win one of three $100 Amazon gift cards completion. Winners will be notified via

This month’s Featured Branch is Gravity’s one and only Central Repair Facility, also known as the “CRF.” Located in Cleburne, Texas, it is estimated that millions of dollars are saved each year by having our own in-house repair facility. Equipment is trucked from all our locations to the CRF for overhauls and anything else that requires our mechanics’ unique skill sets. And just as with any location with a particular function – whether their focus is water, power, containment, etc. – they would simply be just th t l ti ith t th i dibl l h b i it to life.

The Central Repair Facility is committed to providing Gravity Oilfield Services and its customers with the perfect product. On July 15th, 2015, the Maintenance Department launched a new facility with a unique special purpose in mind – to provide Gravity with a dedicated team of people who focus exclusively on renewing the service life of all assets that have either reached the end of their service life or experienced a major catastrophic mechanical &/or electrical failure.

Since then, the CRF has established consistent processes that reduce unplanned downtime that clearly sets us apart from our competitors. On a daily basis, an exciting and extensive amount of failure analysis, troubleshooting, testing, engine overhauls, mechanical and electrical repairs, proprietary upgrades, and TSBs are successfully performed and documented by the CRF resulting in an industry-leading competitive edge.

We were the first service provider in the USA to successfully refine the overhaul process on PSI engine platforms.

66 Qty. Internal TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) was created to provide Gravity with immediate solutions to important safety sensitive &/or high failure trends that affected us companywide.

CRF failure analysis led to partnerships with manufacturer engineers resulting in 69 upgraded parts that eliminate premature component failures, provide a longer service life, reduce costs, and are exclusively available only to Gravity at a discounted price!

Our focus on productivity at the CRF currently averages annual production of 200+ assets per year since 2015.

CRF Refurbished &/or Manufactured assets provide Gravity with a fast turnaround time & extremely higher ROI (72%) vs. new equipment

rental revenue.

Since opening its doors on July 15th, 2015, the CRF has achieved 2774 days without a recordable! That’s 7 years and 6 months!

I have seen the CRF grow from a thought to a highly functioning operation that has sustained Gravity's viability in our industry. The work that takes place here is both professional and needed. The CRF employees hold themselves to the highest standards to ensure Gravity's success.

For our March Featured Place to Eat, we take you to Lubbock, Texas, where Ninety-Two Bakery & Café has captured the appetite of the locals. What started in 1992 as a father-son duo crafting affordable homes in West Texas has turned into a company with eight diverse businesses under its belt. Named after the year that started it all, Ninety-Two opened its doors in 2021 and has been filled with Lubbock locals and visitors six days a week ever since. This hidden gem features an array of fresh-baked bread, house-made pastries, and artisan coffee and teas. Their unique spot is meant to be a dwelling place for guests to connect, create, exchange ideas, and share life while enjoying decadent food and delicious café drinks.

p12
FEATURED PLACE TO EAT

You are welcomed by the comforting aroma of sourdough and coffee when you walk in. However, their staff does the real trick of making you feel welcome. Their smiles and genuine concern for your overall experience separate them from other local bakeries. Their overall positive experience, attention to detail, and kind staff are one that we hope you will experience for yourself. One that makes you want to come back the very next day. On a scale of 1-100, we would place Ninety-Two Café at a solid, 92.

Out of the entire Gravity newsletter, our Employee Spotlight page is our favorite section and our most viewed page by our viewers. For March, our spotlight takes us to Shreveport, LA, where multiple employees have nominated one of their peers. Shane DeMoss is one of our valued Winch Truck Operators, and the more we discovered about Shane, the more we saw why he was nominated. Shane’s positive attitude is contagious, and his respect for others is one to be mirrored. We hope you enjoy taking a sneak peek into the life of one of your fellow Gravity employees who is making a difference.

p14 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT WINCH TRUCK OPERATOR | SHREVEPORT, LA

I grew up in the heart of Shreveport-Bossier in the ’80s. I started working at an early age trimming trees. I went to Southwood High School. I’m a mechanic by trade; my father is also a mechanic, and that’s who I learned from. Throughout my teenage years, I was into muscle cars and building engines to make them faster.

In 2000 I started in the oil & gas industry working at Halliburton. I’ve been in the industry ever since. From the fracking side to the drilling side to the production and trucking. From as far as South and West Texas to Oklahoma. I’ve met all sorts of people along the way. Seen a lot of places and, all in all, there’s no place like home. The best part of working for Gravity is not only the people and camaraderie that I work with but also being able to come home every night, which is a luxury in this field.

So, this is called the ‘Spotlight’ employee. I appreciate being nominated. For y’all that don’t know me other than by this article, to know me is to know Christ in me. Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a man of faith. I do my best to live what I preach and to be the best likeness of Christ that I can be on this side of Heaven. So, if the spotlight is on me, it is on the God I serve. These are the verses that I live by: “Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,”

In other words, I work unto the Lord for His glory, not mine. It’s all focus and perspective. If you focus on God, your perspective will be in the right place. This all ensures a good work environment. I pray for a great and prosperous year for all at Gravity. Thanks again for this opportunity to share.

“Shane DeMoss is an example of what a top-notch employee should be. He goes above and beyond what is asked of him in all aspects of his required duties. When Shane isn’t driving a truck, he is in the shop helping the guys out or out in the yard cleaning up. Shane has the drive to always better himself. He is very communitive with customers on location and always treats customers and fellow employees with the utmost respect. That is the definition of a great employee when it comes to customer service. He is always on time with a smile on his face, and that kind of attitude spreads in the workplace. A smile in the workplace can go a long way in this field of work.”

“Shane is the kind of employee everyone wants at their branch. He is our truck driver but does so much more. Shane helps out wherever we need help, from repairing equipment, rigging up jobs, or delivering equipment. I’m glad to have him on our team in Shreveport.”

D. Oregon

The 1939 NCAA Basketball Tournament involved 8 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. The Oregon Webfoots went 29-5 on the season and beat Ohio State 46-33 to win the national title.

Although the term "March Madness" was first used in reference to basketball by Illinois high school official Henry V. Porter in 1939, it didn't become associated with the NCAA until Brent Musburger used it during coverage of the 1982 tournament.

B. "One Shining Moment"

"One Shining Moment" is traditionally played at the end of the championship game as the winning team's players cut down the nets, to a montage of highlights from the tournament.
