Anchored In Hope As we enter a New Year together, we do so mindful of both the challenges we have faced and the hope that still lies ahead. A new year invites reflection—not only on our personal journeys, but on our shared experience as a community of faith. We look back with gratitude for God’s sustaining grace, and with honesty about the moments that tested us. While the past year now rests behind us, we move forward united in purpose, trusting that God is still at work and that His plans for us remain good.

In the world we live in today—where news cycles move fast, uncertainty feels constant, and social media often magnifies fear, comparison, and division—hope can feel fragile. The phrase “Keep Hope Alive,” popularized by Rev. Jesse Jackson, remains as powerful and relevant now as ever. It reminds us that hope is not just a feeling; it is a lifeline.

A life without hope quickly becomes heavy and exhausting. But when hope is kept alive, it gives us the strength to endure, to rise again, and to believe that tomorrow can be better than today.

In modern culture, hope is often defined as wishful thinking—wanting something to happen without any real assurance that it will. But biblical hope is very different. In Scripture, hope is not uncertain or fragile; it is confident and anchored. Hope is a strong and assured expectation rooted in God’s promises. As Romans 8:24–25 reminds us, “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience and perseverance.”

What a comforting thought it is to know that some of the best days of our lives have not yet arrived.

God is often referred to as “the God of hope,” because He is the source of all true and lasting hope. In a world that constantly changes—God remains unchanging. If our hope is to endure, it must be grounded in Him alone. Hope empowers us to live courageously, to rise above fear, and to walk confidently in who God has called us to be in Christ. As we embrace this New Year, remaining hopeful is not optional—it is essential. Remember, your current situation is not your final destination.

God is still writing your story, and the best is yet to come.

As I reflect on the New Year ahead, I stand firmly on the unchanging truth of God’s Word: • God will still be faithful, and His mercies will still be new every morning (Lamentations 3:21–23).

• God will still do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

• God will still supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

• God will still strengthen us to do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:11–13).

As we move forward into this New Year, let us do so with a shared commitment to remain anchored in hope. Our confidence is not rooted in circumstances, but in the unchanging faithfulness of God. Each day brings fresh mercy, renewed strength, and new opportunities to trust Him more fully. Together, as a community of faith, we look ahead believing that God will continue to be our refuge, our guide, and our peace in every season. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

His debut book, From Sinner to Saint: A 40-Day Devotional, is just like his preaching— transparent, bold, and spirit-led. But behind every sermon, book, and community project is the man who treasures the ministry of home just as much as the ministry of the pulpit.

Faith, Family, and a Whole Lot of Love

When he’s not preaching or serving, Pastor Marlin is a full-time family man. He’s been married to his middle school sweetheart, Tiffany Austin, for 17 years. Together, they’re raising three amazing kids— Taylor, Marlin Jr., and Mason—plus their lovable dog, Milo. The two make a dynamic tag team when it comes to family life, coordinating football practices, cheerleading events, dance recitals, piano lessons, school activities, and social events so that everyone feels supported and seen. Whether it’s family game night or tackling real-life struggles, he brings his full heart into everything he does. It’s this same commitment to his family that fuels the passion and purpose he carries into every arena of leadership.

next book—one thing is certain: Pastor Marlin is on assignment, and he’s just getting started. ❖❖❖ G&G: Pastor Austin, welcome to the Grace & Glory Family. We are excited to talk with you and introduce you to our readers. Tell us more about your calling into ministry?

Pastor Austin: I grew up in the church, but as I got older, I went out into the world doing my own thing.

Like many young people, I struggled with rebellion and often found myself in trouble. I had a mischievous spirit and a fighting nature, but I didn’t yet understand God’s purpose for my life.

Everything began to change when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. That moment marked a major turning point in my life. I went from physically fighting to fighting in the Spirit, learning that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities… and spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). People once called me “Tough Enough,” but after my transformation, they began calling me “Preacherman.” God redirected the same passion I once misused and gave it new purpose.

Even before I fully understood it, I always felt there was something special on my life. Over time, that sense of calling became clearer, confirming that, “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.” (Ephesians 2:10). Accepting my calling into ministry wasn’t easy. I ran from it for a long time, much like Jeremiah, who said, “But the word of the Lord was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones.”

(Jeremiah 20:9).

I officially accepted my call to preach on Father’s Day in 2008, and later that same year, I preached my initial sermon at Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Errol

My calling into ministry has not been easy, but it has been worth it. I came to realize that the more I said yes to God, the more my life aligned with His will. As Scripture declares, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart… and He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6).

Walking in obedience has brought clarity, growth, and fulfillment, and I am grateful to be living out the calling God placed on my life.

G&G: Did you have any spiritual mentors or influences that shaped your early faith journey?

Pastor Austin: Absolutely. One of the most influential people in my life was my late grandmother, Sarah Sinkler, affectionately known as Gert. She was the one who introduced me to Christ and made sure I was in church, planting seeds of faith that would later grow.

The Bible reminds us, “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts” (Psalm 145:4).

My spiritual foundation continued to grow at Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Errol D. Gillard, Sr. During that time, I was nurtured in both faith and character. Scripture says, “Plans succeed with good counsel” (Proverbs 20:18), and I truly believe God placed the right voices in my life at the right time. Rev. Gillard played a vital role in developing my gifts and preparing me for ministry.

He challenged me to walk in purpose and equipped me for the work God had assigned to me, fulfilling the biblical principle that, “He gave some to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry.”

(Ephesians 4:11–12).

Both my grandmother and Rev. Gillard invested deeply in my spiritual growth through encouragement, discipline, and love. Their influence reflects the wisdom

of Scripture: “The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them.” (Proverbs 20:7).

The impact of their faith continues to guide me as I walk in my calling and serve God’s people today.

G&G: What has surprised you most about pastoral ministry since you first began?

Pastor Austin: One of the greatest surprises in pastoral ministry is how deeply joy and sorrow are intertwined.

You experience the highs of seeing lives transformed and the lows of walking with people through their darkest moments. Ministry has shown me that being a pastor isn’t just about preaching sermons; it’s about walking alongside people in all seasons of life, reflecting God’s love consistently, and trusting Him to use every interaction for His glory.

G&G: What role do you believe the church should play in addressing social and community issues?

Pastor Austin: I believe the church has both a spiritual and practical responsibility in addressing social and community issues. While our primary mission is to preach the Gospel, the message of Christ has always been accompanied by action. Jesus didn’t just speak hope He demonstrated it by meeting people where they were and responding to their needs. Scripture reminds us, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17).

The church should serve as a bridge between faith and everyday life, offering compassion, advocacy, and support to those who are hurting. Whether it’s addressing poverty, violence, addiction, or mental health challenges, the church should be present, engaged, and willing to serve. We are called to be “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14), not hidden within the walls of a building. At the same time, the church must remain rooted in love, unity, and truth. Our role is not to judge, but to heal, uplift, and empower. Listening to

Q&A community needs, and equipping believers to serve beyond Sunday, the church can be a powerful agent of change. When the church lives out the love of Christ, communities don’t just improve they are transformed.

G&G: What do you see as the biggest opportunities and challenges for the church?

Pastor Austin: I believe the biggest opportunity for the church today is to visibly show the love of Christ in a dark world to be a practical, loving presence where people are hurting. As Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” (Matthew 9:37), a reminder that the need around us is great and calls the church to mobilize, pray, and go. Yet the church also faces significant challenges: maintaining consistency in serving, giving, and supporting ministries over time; preventing leader and volunteer burnout; stretching limited financial and resources to meet complex needs; and navigating culture while preserving moral clarity.

Meeting these challenges will require faithful, sustained commitment realistic resourcing, care for leaders and volunteers, strategic partnerships, and a clear vision to love our neighbors as Christ loved us.

G&G: How do you sense God leading you and your ministry in this current season? What is your vision for the ministry in the next 5–10 years?

Pastor Austin: In this current season, I sense God leading our ministry beyond the four walls of the church and deeper into the heart of the community.

The vision is to establish The Help Outreach Center (THOC) in Baltimore, our community-based nonprofit designed to bring positive and transformative change through education, training, partnerships, and collaboration. Our goal is to provide quality services that help individuals become confident, self-sufficient, and productive members of the community.

Over the next five to ten years, we envision THOC as a fully functioning community center offering comprehensive support through three core areas: Community Services, Economic Development, and Education. At the heart of this vision is creating a safe and welcoming environment where people are loved and accepted, not judged or rejected. Through this work, we aim to change lives, strengthen families, and uplift communities through Jesus Christ, ultimately advancing the Kingdom of God while improving the overall quality of life for those we serve.

G&G: Would you share a message of encouragement, what do you believe God is saying today?

Pastor Austin: I believe God is reminding us not to give up, even when the journey feels difficult or uncertain. Scripture encourages us, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9).

This is a season to trust God, remain faithful, and keep moving forward, even when progress seems slow. God is calling His people to walk by faith and not by fear, knowing that, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” (Psalm 37:23).

No matter what you are facing, your past does not disqualify you, and your current struggles do not define you. God’s Word reminds us, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). If we continue to say “yes” to God in obedience, He will strengthen us and guide us through every season, for, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” (Philippians 1:6). This is a time to remain hopeful, serve with love, and trust that God is still transforming lives, families, and communities through His grace and power.

Entering the New Year Without the Hustle As the calendar turns and conversations fill with resolutions, goals, and fresh starts, there is often an unspoken pressure to arrive in the New Year energized, motivated, and ready to conquer. Hustle culture tells us that January should begin with intensity — early mornings, packed schedules, and ambitious plans. But what if the most powerful way to enter the new year is not by pushing harder, but by slowing down? What if rest, reflection, and spiritual alignment are not delays to success, but the foundation of it?

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that new beginnings require exhaustion — that growth must be earned through constant striving. But what if this year doesn’t begin with a sprint? What if it begins with surrender?

Stress Easy living invites us to question the belief that productivity equals worth. Many of us end the year exhausted — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We carry unfinished goals, unmet expectations, and silent disappointment into the next season, convincing ourselves that if we just try harder, everything will fall into place. Yet Scripture reminds us that, “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15). Strength does not always look like striving. Sometimes, it looks like surrender.

When we rush into a new year driven by pressure instead of purpose, we risk carrying old stress into new seasons.

We bring unresolved fatigue, comparison, and unrealistic expectations with us, calling it motivation. But peace was never meant to be postponed.

Entering the New Year without hustle means giving yourself permission to pause before you plan. It means acknowledging what the past year required of you — the resilience, the growth, the faith it took just to keep going.

God does not rush us into purpose. He leads us gently, often through seasons of stillness where clarity is formed and healing takes place. When we rush ahead without rest, we risk building on exhaustion instead of wisdom.

This slower approach invites a different kind of goalsetting — one rooted in intention rather than pressure.

Instead of asking, “What more can I do?” we can ask, “What do I need to release?” or “Where is God inviting me to trust instead of control?” Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places before major moments of ministry. If rest was essential for Him, it is essential for us. Spiritual alignment cannot happen in constant motion.

Choosing rest at the start of the year is an act of faith.

It says, “I trust God with my pace.” It acknowledges that our value is not tied to output, and our purpose does not expire if we move slowly. Rest allows us to hear God more clearly, make decisions from a grounded place, and step into the year with emotional clarity rather than burnout.

Stress Easy is not about doing less for the sake of doing less. It is about living from a place of peace instead of pressure. When we begin the year rested, we create space for creativity, discernment, and sustainable growth. We allow God to order our steps instead of forcing our own timelines.

Purpose Doesn’t Require Panic Purpose unfolds in seasons — not all at once, and not always loudly. Growth happens in quiet obedience just as much as public achievement. When we trust God with the timeline, we free ourselves from the anxiety of “catching up.”

You don’t need to have everything figured out on January 1st. You just need to be present, willing, and open.

God is not asking you to hustle your way into His will.

He’s asking you to walk with Him — step by step, breath by breath.

As this New Year unfolds, consider this invitation: You don’t have to hustle to be faithful. You don’t have to rush to be purposeful. You are allowed to enter this season gently, led by God, grounded in peace, and confident that what is meant for you will meet you — even at a slower pace.

Rhoda TURNER The word Restoration has 2 different meanings: • The action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition.

• The biblical meaning signifies God’s ability to bring back what was lost and even improve upon it, leaving in a state that is often better than the original Restoration means returning something to its former state.

There is a TV show that my husband and I frequently watch. The premise of this TV show is restoring old houses to its original beauty. In this show we see an edited cut which makes the restoration process seem quick. Truly the process takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight. I’m so happy that when God restores us it’s a quick restoration.

Here are some steps to aid in the restoration process.

1. Confession/Repentance: Acknowledge wrongdoing and turn away from sin/negative patterns. John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us.”

2. Cleansing/Forgiveness: Seek forgiveness and forgive yourself and others. Ephesians 4:32, “. . . forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

5. Gratitude/Praise: Express thanks even in hardship.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 MSG, “Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.”

God’s part is easy you just have to walk out the rest.

Our part is the hard part; not allowing the enemy or others to make you feel that you’re not restored. You may also fall back into some of those broken habits . . . it’s okay. The God that we serve will restore you again. As long as you are willing God will do His part.

I pray that if you don’t know Him, you should try Him for yourself. Know that we serve a God that’s in the Restoration business. Don’t allow the year to end without being restored.

The Effectiveness of Prayer in Your Finances In a world where financial stability often feels elusive, many seek guidance beyond conventional advice, turning to faith for comfort and direction. Prayer, a cornerstone of many spiritual practices, is frequently regarded as a powerful tool not just for peace of mind but also for practical outcomes, including financial well-being. But how effective is prayer in managing and improving finances? Exploring this question through a biblical lens reveals profound insights and encouragement.

The Biblical Foundation of Prayer and Provision Prayer is a means of communication with God, and the Bible is replete with examples where faith and prayer intertwine with God’s provision of material needs. The Lord Himself invites believers to bring their needs before Him confidently, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6, ESV) This verse highlights three key components: the absence of anxiety, the act of praying with thanksgiving, and the bringing of requests to God. When it comes to finances, this approach encourages believers to trust God, express gratitude for current blessings, and seek His guidance and provision.

Prayer Aligns Our Priorities with God’s Will Prayer is not a magic formula that guarantees wealth but a spiritual discipline that aligns our hearts with God’s purposes. Jesus emphasized the importance of seeking God’s kingdom first, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33, NIV) This promise suggests that when financial concerns are secondary to spiritual priorities, God’s provision is assured. Prayer helps us refocus on what truly matters—character, faithfulness, and service—while trusting God to meet our material needs.

Consider the story of Solomon, who prayed not for wealth but for wisdom to govern God’s people effectively. God granted him this—and added riches and honor beyond any other king, “And God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding, and a breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore... Moreover God gave Solomon riches and honor, so that there was no other like him among the kings of the earth.”

(1 Kings 4:29, 31, ESV) Solomon’s example teaches that prayer focused on godly wisdom can lead to financial prosperity as a byproduct, not the sole aim.

Similarly, the early church’s practices reflect financial blessings linked with prayer and faith. The believers prayed earnestly for the apostles to continue preaching effectively, and their needs were met through generous communal sharing (Acts 4:32-35). This shows how prayer, faith, and practical stewardship go hand in hand in financial provision.

Perhaps one of the most striking stories that link prayer, faith, and financial provision is found in 2 Kings 4:1-7. Here, a poor widow of a prophet faced a dire financial crisis—her creditors were coming to take her two sons as slaves because she could not repay her debts. In her desperation, she turned to the prophet Elisha for help.

Elisha instructed her to borrow empty vessels from her neighbors and to pour the small amount of oil she had into them. Miraculously, the oil kept flowing until every vessel was filled. She sold the oil, paid her debts, and had enough left over to live on.

This powerful narrative illustrates several important truths about prayer and finances. The widow trusted Elisha’s word, a prophetic

message from God, and acted on it. The miracle of the multiplying oil symbolizes God’s ability to supply abundantly when we seek His help.

Borrowing vessels also shows that faith often involves community engagement and trust in others.

This story encourages believers that through faith, prayer, and obedience to God’s guidance, financial crises can be transformed into testimonies of divine provision.

Scripture underscores that faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

Effective prayer in finances includes faithful and wise action. The book of Proverbs offers practical financial wisdom, “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5, ESV) This balance of prayer and diligence acknowledges God as the ultimate provider while affirming our responsibility to make sound financial decisions. Prayer empowers and motivates believers to act wisely, avoid impulsive financial choices, and seek counsel.

Financial struggles often provoke anxiety and fear. Prayer provides a spiritual anchor that calms the heart, fostering peace despite uncertain circumstances. “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, ESV) This assurance helps believers approach finances with a calm mind, reducing stress that can cloud judgment and lead to poor decisions. Peace gained through prayer improves mental clarity, enabling better management of resources.

Beyond material gain, the Bible highlights contentment as a spiritual state intertwined with financial health, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” (Hebrews 13:5, ESV) Prayer nurtures contentment and gratitude, preventing greed and envy. It transforms finances from a source of worry into a tool for stewardship and generosity, reflecting God’s heart.

Practical Steps to Incorporate Prayer in Financial Life 1. Start with Thanksgiving: Acknowledge current blessings to foster an attitude of gratitude.

2. Pray for Wisdom: Seek God’s guidance in budgeting, investing, or spending decisions.

3. Ask for Provision: Humbly bring your financial needs before God, trusting His timing.

4. Seek Contentment: Pray for peace with what you have, resisting materialism.

5. Commit to Diligence: Combine prayer with wise, responsible actions.

(Excerpts from NEW DAY FRESH START- by Brandie Manigault) DAY 1 Did you know that where we come from doesn’t matter to God? Our family history may contain drug addicts, prostitutes, felons, do-gooders, overachievers, workaholics, Muslims, Jews, and Christians. Our family may look like a melting pot of all things, or we can come from a strong lineage of Jesus lovers, but none of those things matter. When the Lord of all creation chose us, He made a decision based on us individually. He did not qualify us based on what our family looked like or their history. He can and will use us individually in spite of all those things; the good and the bad.

Challenge: Today challenge yourself to stop disqualifying yourself based on how you look on paper. Be open and willing to be used by God and let that be the only thing on your resume.

Matthew 1:16 (NKJV) And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.

DAY 2 What’s inside of you is so much more than you could have ever imagined. It’s easy to think that we are pregnant with a dream just to make us happy. We think that burning desire on the inside is just so we can prosper financially. We assume that we were pursuing a particular career path out of obedience to someone in authority. Boy are we wrong! We are pregnant with the possibility to change the world. It goes beyond us and our own houses. It reaches the nations. He has trusted us with a seed, a gift, a dream, and a passion so that His plan would be fulfilled in the earth. Our circumstances may not be ideal, but that should not discourage us.

We cannot abort. We must carry until it’s time to push, push when we feel the contractions, and then deliver when the time is right.

Challenge: Today challenge yourself to be an agent of change.

No matter what it looks like around you, know that you are making a difference.

Matthew 1:21 (NKJV) And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save people from their sins.

DAY 3 So now what? We have stepped out in faith and in obedience to the Word of the Lord and have now given birth to our promise. So now what? We are holding in our arms a miracle. No one thought it was possible. We even had doubts of our own at times, but now it’s here… the business we’ve always wanted to start, the book we wanted to write, the degree we studied for. So now what?

Now we wait for the supernatural provision of the Lord. He has announced the birth of our baby, and people are headed our way with the supplies needed to propel us forward. He knows that we cannot do it alone.

Challenge: Today challenge yourself to sit and be patient. Don’t try to make things happen on your own. Provision is coming. Just wait on it.

Matthew 2:11 (NKJV) And when they had come into the house they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

DAY 4 There will always be something about you that makes you stand out in a crowd; your passion; your drive; your ability to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When God’s hand is on you it will be hard to fit in, and because of that sometimes the Lord will have you in what seems like a foreign land so that you are protected until the appointed time of your reveal. Foreign places can often feel uncomfortable because they are different and unfamiliar, but don’t be discouraged if you feel like you are in a land not your home. You are just being hidden for your safety. The time will come for you to come out of “hiding”, and when it does, you will be in a place that welcomes you and receives you for who you are.

Challenge: Today, challenge yourself to thank God for hiding you and keeping you safe. Only He really knows the heart of those who you are surrounded by.

Matthew 2:13,16, 22 (NIV) When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee.

DAY 5 Our outward expressions are a reflection of our inward transformation. When we commit to changing our lives, it has to be a complete package. We cannot just change our clothes and think we are new people. We must produce fruit that reflects the inward change. It doesn’t matter how many good things we do as an outward gesture of transformation if we still have a bad attitude, still curse people out or still judge them. Mentioning the name of someone who does good things will not help either.

We cannot ride on the coattails of others who have a reputation of good fruit. It’s something we have to do and produce for ourselves.

Challenge: Today challenge yourself to keep a watchful eye on your fruit. Is it good fruit or is it rotten? And then adjust things accordingly.

Matthew 3:7-10 (MSG) When John realized that a lot of Pharisees and Sadducees were showing up for a baptismal experience because it was becoming the popular thing to do, he exploded: “Brood of snakes! What do you think you’re doing slithering down here to the river? Do you think a little water on your snakeskins is going to make any difference? It’s your life that must change, not your skin! Hell’s Kitchen has truly been all the buzz! Inspired by Alicia Keys’ life and music, it’s a coming-of-age story set in Manhattan, NY, about a young woman finding her voice and purpose in the 90’s at the age of 17. The show features some of Alicia Keys’ classic hits as well as new songs, with awesome choreography, powerful vocals, and performances by stars like Ne-Yo, Yolanda Adams, and I have to also shout out “Baltimore’s Own” Jade Milan Nelson who was also featured in the awesome cast lineup. The show is known for its emotional depth, high energy, and themes of identity and family, reflections of the grit and glory of New York.

He truly left an impact and lasting impression on us and reminded us “it’s never too late”.

December ended with the trumpet sounding as one of Gospel Music’s Legendary World-Renowned Artists Richard Smallwood, transitioned from Grace to Glory. A Maestro who blessed us with so much timeless music with every album and every live performance; anything he put his hands to was Stellar and executed with excellence and pure musical genius. He really set the bar not just for gospel music, but how it absolutely transcended into multiple genres. He certainly did not leave us empty handed, he left us with music that will continuously resonate in our spirits. He also left us with a template and blueprint of how to be our best at what we do and to not limit ourselves as God gives us vision to walk out our own life’s journey with our giftings.

Thank you, Sir, for blessing us with your presence, we honor your life and legacy, you are now one of the Angels watching over us.
