What began in April 2015 as a Project Marketing agency on the Gold Coast, quickly became an industry leading property agency servicing all facets of real estate.
The company has evolved over the years, and is now the only property agency in Australia to offer Project Marketing, Investment Property sales, Commercial Sales and Leasing, as well as Project and Development Management, all under one roof.

THE VERY BEGINNING
The Avanti Group journey began when founders, Trent Milburn and Chris Magick, saw a gap in the property industry for a company that catered to a full range of market segments.
They saw a need for a one-stop-shop for property services, catering to clients, purchasers and business-to-business operations, and incorporating all aspects of the industry, including townhouses, house and land, medium-to-high density towers, as well as luxury apartments and villas, and commercial property.
Operating for approximately 18 months, they observed a trend amongst developers struggling to acquire sites in a slow, competitive market. In 2017, drawing on their connections in the Real Estate Development Industry and extensive personal and business relationships, they approached a like-minded associate, who was at that time a director of a national commercial real estate company. They then established a Commercial Property business under the Avanti banner.
The founders realised that finding sites, offering them to developers, and providing sales and marketing expertise were crucial but incomplete without development management capabilities and qualified project managers. Consequently, Avanti Project & Development Management emerged in 2018.
In early 2020, the various businesses united under one banner, driven by a shared goal: to assist clients in growing their businesses by guiding them through the entire complexities of the real estate market.
With the ongoing success of The Avanti Group, in 2023 Avanti Project Marketing combined forces with a Brisbane based Project Marketing agency, launching YPM Avanti. Since its launch YPM Avanti has been responsible for the successful sellout of major projects including The Star Residences and The Star Tower 2, Gold Coast, Queens Wharf Residences and Queens Wharf Tower in Brisbane, West Side Place in Melbourne and has recently launched to market two new Melbourne developments - Clayworks, Sunshine and 640 Bourke Street.

MILESTONES
Trent Milburn and Chris Magick founded Avanti Project Marketing.
Drawing on their long-term relationships with builders and developers on the Gold Coast, and their reputation for producing results, Trent and Chris secured contracts as lead project marketers for four major residential developments. In addition, they managed sales and marketing for 26 individual projects in the investment property sector working with their affiliated partner channels.
Stabilising their position in the project marketing sector, the team was appointed to manage the sales and marketing for the Bay Grand South residential development in Tweed Heads in addition to their current portfolio. Avanti Investment Properties also increased their portfolio to 36 projects, further establishing their expertise in this market. At this stage in the business, Avanti Project Marketing were the lead agent on Coast, Labrador; Elive, Palm Meadows; Manhattan Terraces, West End; The Residences in Emerald Lakes and Eton Edition, Hendra.
2022 2021
The $652 million Queens Wharf Residences were launched with 75% of the 667 apartments sold within three months, achieving a local record in residential sales in South East Queensland. Midwater sales continued to be strong as did Investment Properties. It was a time of uncertainty with the pandemic continuing and border closures unpredictable and it was necessary to be innovative to attract interstate purchasers.
The Project & Development Management team expanded into Brisbane and Northern New South Wales, while the Commercial team listed 33 properties for a total of almost $40 million.
During this period Avanti took advantage of the market conditions and articulated its Full Circle Property Solution.
2017
The rapid growth of the business achieved national recognition with Avanti being included in the Australian Financial Review Fast Starters Top 100 list, positioned at 15 of 100. Another two projects were added to the Project Marketing portfolio with the William Edition, Rochedale and Tribeca Terrace, Bulimba and three additional projects were added to the investment portfolio. In addition, the business expanded its operations with the addition of a Commercial Property business, which was to be headed by managing director Lachlan Harris.
The $960 million Queens Wharf Tower, consisting of 819 apartments over 71 floors, was launched. The innovative marketing campaign resulted in achieving 90% of sales in the first three months of launch, surpassing all sales expectations and exceeding the previous record achieved by Queens Wharf Residences. Property sales exceeded $1.2 billion, and Project & Development Management managed $500 million in projects.
Avanti Commercial continued its growth trajectory, increasing its listing value by 90% to just over $75 million, including the $24 million sale of a holiday resort in Labrador.
2023
The Avanti Group achieved remarkable success in 2023, with property sales exceeding $600 million and over $500 million in Project & Development Management.
This performance was underscored by our nationwide expansion and the establishment of YPM Avanti, extending our presence to Melbourne where West Side Place was launched with a project value of $2 billion.
Comprising four buildings with 2,895 apartments, the mixed use development incorporates the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Dorsett Hotel as well as 4,500 square metres of amenities.
2019 2018
The founding partners went from strength to strength in 2018 when they were appointed as the lead agent on the $2.3 billion The Star, Broadbeach project. Competing with agents with national profiles, Avanti Project Marketing were chosen for their local knowledge, proven expertise, results oriented approach and innovative strategy. They were once again included in the Australian Financial Review Fast Starters Top 100 list, positioned at 12 of 100.
Avanti Commercial had a very successful first year of trading, with six properties listed for a total of $8.6 million.
With successful sales at The Star, Tower 1 in Broadbeach and Bay Grand, Tweed Heads, Project Marketing was appointed lead agent on Bay Grand North and Coast North, as well as the $356 million The Star, Tower 2, comprising 437 apartments residences. Avanti Investment Properties increased their portfolio to 53 projects, while Commercial increased its listing value by 175% with $23.7 million of properties listed.
Project & Development Management appointed Matt Haney who came to Avanti after successfully project managing numerous high profile projects on the Gold Coast. Matt is now Director of this division of the business.
2020
While the pandemic had a significant impact on the property industry, Avanti was appointed as the lead agent on one of Brisbane’s most prestigious and iconic projects, Queen’s Wharf in Brisbane. The $3.6 billion integrated resort development includes more than 1,000 premium hotel rooms, 50 restaurants and bars and up to 2,000 residential apartments. In addition, Avanti was also appointed, and launched to market, Midwater at Main Beach.
Avanti Investment Properties now had 69 projects in its portfolio including house & land, townhouses and boutique apartments. Avanti Commercial ‘s relationships came to the fore bringing two resales to market and leasing of previous sales.
2024
The Avanti Group’s continued commitment to delivering high-class real estate solutions was reinforced by our expansion into multiple real estate markets across Australia, with residential and commercial projects in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Northern New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria. In the 2024 calendar year we achieved more than 800 sales as a group.
Avanti Commercial’s repeat business and numerous referrals resulted in over $64 million in listings with two more tourism sites brought to market in Elizabeth Beach, NSW as well as one on the NSW/ Victorian border.
The Project & Development Management team delivered and settled over 200 high end Gold Coast apartments.
2025
2025 marks The Avanti Group’s 10 year anniversary. Our diverse portfolio reflects our versatility in the real estate market, and encompasses large-scale high-rise residential projects, mixed-use developments, tourism and hospitality infrastructure, house and land packages, townhouses, commercial properties, petrol stations, and food outlets. This broad spectrum of projects is testament to our dedication to meeting the needs of our clients and investors and the impressive sales and project and development management figures underscore the trust and confidence that these stakeholders have placed in us.
This year we have already launced two new major Melbourne projects to the market as part of YPM Avanti, including 640 Bourke Streetcomprising 608 residential apartments in the heart of Melbourne City.

A FULL SERVICE PROPERTY AGENCY
THE CHALLENGE
Avanti’s Commercial Property business was contracted to sell a development site with residential zoning in a popular beachside suburb in Northern NSW. The seller wanted to move the site quickly as, due to personal circumstances, they were unable to continue mortgage payments and had neither the expertise or the funds to take the development forward. They asked Avanti for help.
THE SOLUTION
The Director of Commercial Property asked his colleagues in Project Marketing and Investment Properties if they knew a developer who may be interested in purchasing the site, while also asking the Project & Development Management Director if he could prepare a feasibility statement to include with the Information Memorandum.
THE RESULT
Combining their individual skills, our teams created a proposal which they presented to one of our long-term developer partners. The proposal consisted of a comprehensive Information Memorandum including Competitor Analyses and Economic Research for the location. The developer was satisfied that the due diligence had been completed satsifactorily and made an offer on the property.
The seller accepted the offer and was able to complete the sale within 30 days with minimal costs. Avanti’s Project & Development Management business was contracted to assist with getting the project off the ground by providing assistance with planning and design meetings and approvals, project advisory and development management.
The Project Marketing team were on board from the beginning, therefore they were able to attend the design concept meetings and provide input to ensure the end product was suitable for the intended market. The sales and marketing strategy included an allowance for an allocated number of products to be available to Avanti’s Investment Property clients should the project have finished properties available on construction completion.
Using Avanti’s full-circle property solution, the seller was happy, the developer achieved the result they were after and the project had a good mix of owner occupiers and investors.

The building comprises 19 levels of hotel accommodation and 34 levels of residential accommodation.

Project Value: $356 Million
Tower 2 comprises 437 spectacular residences available in one, two and three bedroom configurations. Residences begin from Level 21 and continue to the top of the tower on level 63. Each floor plan is carefully designed with floor to ceiling glazing and 2.7 metre ceiling heights to maximise view lines and natural light. The Star Tower 2 is a 63 storey mixed use building incorporating residential, hotel and retail with stunning views to the coastline and hinterland.


Queens Wharf Residences, Brisbane
Project Value: $652 Million
Launched in April 2020, Queens Wharf Residences is the tallest building in the precinct and the only residential tower directly connected to the outstanding facilities of the Integrated Resort Development. Residences have either one, two or three bedrooms and are divided into Emerald, Ruby and Diamond tiers. All are superbly designed and finished. Within three months of launching the project to market, 75% of the 667 apartments had been sold, achieving a local record in residential sales in South East Queensland.

The $3.6 billion Queens Wharf Integrated Resort Development is one of the most significant developments in Brisbane’s recent history. Carefully restored heritage buildings stand side by side with captivating modern architecture. Mixing luxury retail, dining entertainment and accommodation with premium residences and world class amenity, there is no doubt that the precinct will become a landmark recognised throughout the world. The Tower consists of 819 apartments over 71 floors. The team achieved 90% of sales in the first three months of launch.

A boutique development in Main Beach on the Gold Coast, Midwater comprises 119 one, two, three and four bedroom apartments plus sub-penthouses and penthouses over 39 levels. The amenities are comparable to a five star resort with electric fast charging points, multiple swimming pools, yoga facilities, residents marina, lounge with wine storage, full kitchen and bar, sunken pool terrace with fire pit, cinema, residents dining room and wellness centre. The project is under construction with completion due in the next couple of years. It is completely sold out.
West Side Place, Melbourne
Project Value: $2 Billion
West Side Place is a $2 billion complex of four buildings, with a combined floor area of 97,000 square metres located on the corner of Lonsdale and Spencer Streets, Melbourne. The mixed use development incorporates the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Stage One and the Dorsett in Stage Three. The project consists of 2,895 apartments and over 4,500 square metres of amenities including pools, gym, cinema, karaoke rooms, catering kitchen, boardroom, business centre, study pods, library, wine bar, sauna, steam room and more. The Avanti Group was appointed in July 2023 together with the YPM Group to manage the sales and marketing of this project.

With each stage releasing once the previous stage had completed construction, the final stage launched in January 2021. The Emerald Lakes Estate in Carrara on the Gold Coast is a one of a kind development designed with a European influence. The estate was developed with a variety of different residential homes, apartments, town houses, villas, duplexes and commercial tenancies. Avanti Project Marketing was appointed as the Master Agent on The Harbour Village, consisting of 83 Townhouses, The Residences Hillside, consisting of 74 Townhouses and The Residences Hilltop, consisting of 51 Townhouses. Manhattan Terraces, West End

Consisting of 80 Townhouses over four stages, Manhattan Terraces are located close to Southbank restaurants, entertainment and transport. The project was relatively rare in that each terrace was on a freehold title, thereby eliminating body corporate fees. It also offered a very high level of fit-out and inclusions which, at the time, was a point of difference in the high rise environment in which it was competing. The individual homes offered a choice of three floor plans, each spread over either two or three levels and incorporating a rooftop terrace.
