GPIC Honours Field Training Students
As part of the close cooperation
between the Ministry of Education and GPIC, Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, GPIC President honoured a group of students from Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa Secondary Boys School for having joined the company’s field training programme. Mr. Jawahery familiarised himself with a number of the projects designed and implemented by the students who completed the required practical training. The students Ahmed Hasan and Abdulla Khalid, under the supervision of the GPIC Electrical Technician Ali Al Sayed, gave a briefing on the working of the equipment that they had invented for warning against thefts using the principle of electrical current detection. Mohamed, who trained under the supervision of Electrical Technician Ghassan Abdulla explained the outlines of his project for utilisation of solar power to generate energy to be used for lighting. The project will limit pollution arising from power generation by conventional methods. The third project produced by Salman Hasan under the supervision of Electricity Technician Jassim Haji provides a creative method for protection of electrical engines. Following a review of the projects, the GPIC President praised the students’ efforts and expressed admiration on the level of inventiveness and creativity that characterised the work of these young people. He explained that GPIC provides a fertile ground for nurturing young talents and creative ideas and it will spare
no effort to train and care for the young students, who are the real wealth and future of this country. The students expressed their thanks to the GPIC President for giving them the opportunity to implement their creative ideas. They also expressed their gratitude to the members of the Electrical Section at GPIC for their help and co-operation. It should be noted that GPIC supports all projects that contribute towards providing the country with skills and expertise needed by the country to continue its growth and prosperity within the framework of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
