SISTER CITY STUDENTS VISIT

A number of Central Coast families recently hosted students from Edogawa, Japan as part of an ongoing Sister City Exchange Program.

The students were particularly excited to visit council chambers last week for a Mayoral Reception to welcome them to the Gosford LGA.

INDIGENOUS ART ON DISPLAY

An Indigenous artwork display running along the hoardings at Terrigal Drive and the Ocean View Drive roundabout was launched recently. The hoardings painting project was given to the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council by Gosford City Council and involved 20 public schools on the Central Coast.

LOOK OUT FOR LOCAL GOVT WEEK

Next week, from 4 - 10 August, we will be celebrating Local Government Week. The next issue of Gosford Connect will contain some great information on the breadth and diversity of council services. There will be a calendar of the events that are happening throughout the Week, plus information on council facilities like our art galleries, youth centres, senior services and more.

Dog of the Week Yumi is a Bull Terrier X who would appreciate an active family who can take her out for a walk each day. She gets along well with other dogs, and is a very smart girl who picks things up quickly. Most of all, she’d love a home and family of her very own. Yumi is just $350 to adopt which includes; vet check, desexing, microchipping, registration with council, vaccination, flea control, heartworm and worming treatment.
